Not a scratch on this garaged vehicle, never been out in weather. Super Clean"

Car is the cleanest 981S on the market. Literally, dont miss this opportunity the car is basically brand new, I have put just 3k miles on it, the engine isn't even broken in yet. It has never even been thru a water puddle. Well over 10k dollars in HRE P-40SC wheels and Michelin Pilot SS Tires, as well as Cayman "R" Springs that give the car a beautiful stance in combination with the Wheels and Tires. PDK Transmission and fully loaded, by fully loaded I mean, I spent endless hours trying to complete the look and design of the ultimate mid-engine porsche. I have window sticker as well as full list of options which are extensive. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I have about 105K in this vehicle and I love it, but I don't get a chance to really take it out and let it be what it was intended to be. Hopefully someone gets that opportunity. i have tried for the last few months to convince myself that it is practical with a family of 6, it just is not. Hopefully someone that can truly appreciate and drive this vehicle in its intended environment will end up with this beauty. Again, feel free to contact me with any questions or offers. God Bless

Porsche recalls new 911 models over exhaust pipe issues

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Porsche, though the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, announced a voluntary recall on about 2,200 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models built during the 2012 and 2013 model years. On cars equipped with the standard exhaust system it was found that the tailpipes could separate from the mufflers and become dangerous road debris; models that added the optional sport exhaust system are not included in this recall.
Affected vehicles were built between March and November of last year, but there have been no reports of the problem on any customer-owned vehicles. Porsche first noticed a cracked tailpipe weld on a test vehicle back in May, and since then has found similar problems on other internally owned vehicles, all with more than 25,000 miles on the clock. To fix the problem, dealers will be replacing the mufflers. Scroll down to read the official notice.

Meet the main man behind the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

We have yet to catch our breath from our first drive of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, but if you're still not sold on the fact that this track-ready 911 is only offered with a PDK transmission, then you should take it up with Andreas Preuninger. Preuninger is the guy who led the team responsible for the latest GT3. Porsche has released a video giving a little backstory of what went into the development of the car, which had as its goal the creation of a pure, rewarding 911 driving experience.
The video captures the sights and sounds of the GT3 perfectly. Perhaps the best part is listening to Preuninger describe one of the defining moments that resulted in replacing the GT3's manual gearbox with the PDK. We don't want to ruin the video for you, so scroll down to check it out for yourself.

DP Motorsport tries to turn a vintage Porsche 911 into a sleeper

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

Once you get past the fact that it's hard to call a car a sleeper when it has race-product stickers on its quarter panel, and the script across the back panel reads "Porsche 911 3.2 Sleeper," it's fun to imagine what this car can do. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911, Germany's DP Motorsport took a model from 1986, stripped it of everything - including the paint and undercoating - then replaced everything with lightweight and race-ready parts.
In went race cams and ported cylinder heads, a lightweight flywheel, an RSR titanium racing exhaust, 935-style lollipop seats and RSR carpeting, a lightweight battery, perforated and galvanized hinges and brackets, hardened perspex windows. The 3.2-liter engine puts out 270 horsepower - 70 hp above the stock 911 on sale here in 1986 - and 226 pound-feet of torque through a limited slip differential to staggered wheels. The exterior color is metallic rock-green lacquer.
If you want one, $120,00 is where the part starts, but DP Motorsport says it offers the parts individually if you don't need your vintage Porsche to sleep this hard. On a side note, for a chucklesome journey back in time, check out this review of the 1986 911 that gets things going with this line: "First off, the Porsche 911 is very expensive - how does about 40 thou grab you?" Back on topic, there's a press release below that tells the rest of the story of the 3.2 Sleeper.
