Most of the normal things that a 1995 needs have been recently done: complete interior (see pics), both headlight motors, brakes all around, 4 new tires + road force alignment, tie rod assembly, ignition coil, tune-up, fluids, valid inspection.

Engine is rock solid.  Trans is smooth.  This car runs great and has gotten a lot of compliments both for the interior and the overall look / sound.

Just got back from a run to Atlantic City and what a fun drive down the Parkway :)

It's a 95 and any 18 yr old car can use some buttoning up, but this is a great car.  I have a very short commute to work but typically drive the car several times a week.  Due to personal issues I need to sell this car.  This car was passed down from father to son, and then to me.

The one thing no one tells is that C4's typically have some cowl shake (this is built into the frame design) and this one is no different.  I posted this info because its common to C4's but most buyers don't know about it.  The car rides perfect, but you do get some shake over rough road sections. I had it inspected by a mechanic that specializes in performance cars and by Corvette Paramedics prior to listing for sale.  No out of ordinary issues were identified.  There are a few stiffeners out there on the aftermarket if you wanted to go in that direction.  For my driving, it has not been an issue.  It is no different than my old 87 that I sold a few years ago, or my buddy's 91.

Radio antenna motor runs but the shaft broke off.  Reception is fine so I haven't bothered to fix it.  Also, the remote key fob is no longer in existence.

The car is being sold "as is" and is for sale locally...so, I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time in the event of a sale.
I've had fun driving this car and I'm only looking to get my money back out of it.  The reserve on this auction is well below my local listing price.

Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up / transport.
Deposit required.  Payment in full within 3 days is expected.  I will not release the title until payment is received / cleared.
All sales are final.

Thanks, Rob

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
