Dan and Jim looked at the AC on my car for free. In the end, my condenser needed to be cleaned out because it was full of bugs from a cross country trip I`d just taken. As soon as they did that, it worked fine! They got me in the same day and didn`t charge me a single penny for blowing out the condenser. Great customer service- I`d recommend them to anyone! This was the second service provider whom I called for overhauling of my mini bus. Months before, my driver met with an accident that brought my vehicle in such a bad condition. The prior one quoted me with a heavy amount also, was not sure if my bus would retain the old look. A few years ago I had Leavitt Auto replace the rear end of my 2001 Camaro SS. I`ve been living with a problem ever since. They put the wrong rear end in. The standard rear end gear ratio is 3.42:1. Whatever they put in is geared higher. I have checked the mileage against mile markers and my other vehicle. What they put in is 80% meaning that if the speed limit is 70 my speedometer reads 56. If the speed limit ... view moreis 35 my speedometer must read 28. It is a manual transmission and therefore the higher gearing is requiring me to slip the clutch more from a dead stop.

I feel they should have been knowledgeable enough to have looked it up first to get it right. They should have realized that an SS model is different than the normal Camaro. I had opted for them to replace the rearend with a used one. Therefore, they said there was no warrantee for that.

Well, I just think they are not as knowledgeable or even resourseful as necessary. The simply were lazy and installed the wrong rear end.

Now, I`m researching this to buy the correct parts and do it myself with the help of friends.

I won`t be trusting Leavitt to work on my vehicles in the future.
