I will have more pics up in the next 2 days, i have 7 cars, must sell some due to parents medicals, the firebird had been garaged, but for the last year an 1/2 its been outdoors with the florida rain and sun , so the paint has bubbled up in some places, sometimes when you turn the key the starter clicks, then sometimes the car starts right up, i think it needs a new cylinoid, but anyway, it runs excellent, drives great down the road, dosent pull to the right or left, shifts great, Im not sure if this is the original engine, i bought it around five years ago from a guy that had it rebuilt, and you can tell it is because it runs very well. As long as it starts ( sometimes has the click noise and hav to try a few times more) I would feel comfortable driving this car anywhere. I believe the engine may have around 2000 miles on it since the rebuild, I still drive it here and there to break it in, there are no leaks that I have ever seen, steering is very good. This car needs the wiring looked at , and fixed, tail lights and headlights have a mind or their own and I ve tryed getting them to work , and sometimes they do and sometimes they dont. The brakes to me are great, I think all or some of the brakes have been replaced.  Two years ago i backed my other car into the driver fender of the firebird and i had the guy that painted it the performance red put on a new front fender and had it painted the same.. bondo was put in these places only that i know of, the back quarters, below one or both doors, i think some below by the tail lights,  and there may be other places, just not sure. The interior dosent have any holes, or rips, Im not sure if some of its new or some original, There are BUBBLES coming out of the paint in different places, Im going to put more pics up in the next two days and please read below in the next two days, for right now im just being brief I havnt washed it in 3 months, nor cleaned it, so thats why more will be up soon as i clean it...This car has been alot of fun and it still looks nice, but due to my mother having a stroke i cant keep up with the cars i have and need the money for her...What i know that this car needs, is new or fix the wiring, new new carpet, stereo and speakers, maybe a new starter or clyinoid and its good, the underside or floor pans look great or maybe original and the trunk is the same one without much or any rust, its a solid car when your driving it, but please remember it needs the things mentioned above. The police car goes with it, I ve had it but have taken one light off and replaced with blue, and i took the old badges off and also replaced the police on the front and back, I ve recently added some stuff recently cause i was gonna make it look as best , but due to medical needs all has to go.. Please Read Below of this in THe next two days for more info , You may also have to look 3 pages back for my seller feedback since i had been buying alot lately on ebay, The Plymouth and firebird will have more pics up tomarrow, thank you, Joe

GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners

Fri, 28 Oct 2011

This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
