1996 Carrera 2 911, 993 , Very Low Original Miles on 2040-cars
Bradenton Beach, Florida, United States
|
Fantastic Original carrera 2 , the car has a few blemishes on the front from stone chips all shown on the pics , all paint is original
The car was stored from 2007-2013 in AZ . I purchased the car with the older silver porsche design rims shown on one of the photos , i installed new black turbo twist look rims with new BFG tires. Both sets can go with the car on request. The car runs great and is really tight , has a great smooth gear change and does not loose even one drop of oil .....very unsual for a car of this age. The top could really do with being changed to make it perfect but if a couple of minor tears in the canvas dont bother you then its fine and it doesnt leak any water. The last owner supplied me with a lot of porsche paperwork for parts and service which of course shall be supplied with the car. I have now purchased another Black 993 and am ready to let this one go to the right owner, If you really want a good clean car with no hassel ready to drive for the summer you have found it with this car. please call me with any questions 941-447-9662 , but please dont bid on the car unless you intend to buy it.I have had a few 993,s over the years and this one is just fantastic , prefect for the owner who wants a low mileage car with it all already done and wants no hassle. |

Porsche Fire and Ice is chilling art born of flames
Wed, 01 Jan 2014Porsche held a contest inviting ten filmmakers to riff on the tagline for the Panamera, "Thrilling Contradictions," in a 60-second film. The winner was an entry called Fire and Ice by director Ross Cohen, a concept that uses just those two elements in a premise as simple as it is rewarding. For his efforts, Cohen will receive a trip to the Chicago International Film Festival, and you might see the short in the pre-movie advertisements in a theater served by Spotlight Cinema Networks.
Porsche did this kind of thing just two years ago, when it asked filmmakers to illustrate the idea of "Everyday Magic". The winner of that contest, Michael Korbel's It's a Magical Life, followed the journey of a young man to husband and father from the perspective of the trunk of a 911. You'll find that video as well as Fire and Ice below.
VW confirms development of 10-speed dual clutch, 134-hp/liter diesel
Fri, 26 Apr 2013Each year, the Vienna International Motor Symposium showcases some of the up-and-coming technologies automakers are engineering for the use in passenger cars, and Volkswagen AG CEO Martin Winterkorn revealed some big developments VW is working on for its future products. Winterkorn discussed a multi-faceted approach that VW is looking to reduce its fleet fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
Some of the bigger news he discussed included a "high-performance" diesel engine that will produce 134 horsepower per liter and a 10-speed DSG automatic transmission. While no specific applications were mentioned, we can only hope this is for the Audi R4 we keep hearing about.
Another topic he touched on that caused us to perk up our ears was had to do with VW's plug-in hybrid technology. While we know the PHEV versions of the Audi A3 and Porsche Panamera are on the way, Winterkorn also said that these two models will be followed up by Golf, Passat, Audi A6 and Porsche Cayenne plug-in models. Scroll down for a press release highlighting the automaker's future fuel-saving initiatives.
Porsche wants you to 3D print your own Cayman
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Have you got access to a 3D printer? Well lucky you, because as we're rapidly learning, the possibilities are virtually endless. And if your tastes lean towards the automotive (as we'd assume they do if you're reading this page), we've got good news.
Porsche has just released 3D printing data for the Cayman S so you can three-dimensionally print out your own and customize to your heart's content. Now Porsche hasn't specified just to what scale the data will allow you to print your Cayman, but we have a feeling that'd mostly be limited by the size of the printer at your disposal. Check it out in the video below and follow the link to the Porsche site to download the file.
