1975 Dino 308 GT4
Recent Service, Rare Factory Metallic Gray

We are offering a lovely Weber carburetted Dino 308 GT4 Vin 10038. The car was supplied from the factory not in the obligatory red, but in a rare and attractive metallic grey that really accentuates the angles of the Bertone designed body. The body is excellent rust free and appears to have original paint with only minor flaws for its age. There is a minor dent on the lowest part of driver side door that only shows in certain angles. The interior is very good all original with just minor wear to d/s seat bolster. Owner manual and tools are present. These carburetted early Ferrari’s are very easy for a competent home mechanic to service and maintain. Probably the easiest and most enjoyable Ferrari to own and service. The lack of electronics make everything serviceable with proper patience and parts, and has attracted many engineer type owners. We believe this is a three owner car with prior long-term California ownership. The current owner acquired this Ferrari with intentions of keeping it many years, but unexpected financial requirements require its sale. He commissioned our restoration shop to prepare the car for spring driving season and completed extensive recommissioning work. This Ferrari has just been given a comprehensive complete service including new cam belts, tensioner, hoses and water pump. A major tune was performed including valve adjust. both door windows have been fitted with new felts and converted to relays and now function better than factory design. To ensure this Ferrari could be driven as intended a new full set of Michelin XAS tires were fitted to the original Chromodora wheels. This retains the proper balance and handling that make these cars a delight to drive. Total service and tire replacement came to $11,000 and was completed last month. It is equipped with full A/C but is not charged with freon at this time and may require some service to function. The fresh mechanical work insures the new owner will have few future surprises. This car starts without fuss and shifts and drives very well, rewarding the driver with crisp response to all inputs. It should supply the new owner with years of driving and ownership pleasure and is priced to sell. If you are even considering Ferrari this would be a good choice.

Limited-run Ferrari F12 GTO supposedly headed to Frankfurt

Sun, Jun 28 2015

After spy shots of a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in Italy wearing some sticky rear-end camo went public, insiders have told GTspirit that the car is an F12 GTO and it will come to this year's Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It's hinted that the Gran Turimso Omologato changes to the 6.3-liter V12 up front might increase output from 731 horsepower to 800 hp by using the HY-KERS unit from the LaFerrari. That module provides an extra 163 hp to the supercar. True to GTO form, more power would come with less weight, the purported F12 GTO going on a diet of more than 100 kilograms (220 pounds). That would get matters of mass down to a stated curb weight of around 3,140 pounds. More technology could make the jump from its supercar sibling, all hidden underneath more aggressive bodywork and a GTO badge. A production volume of just 650 cars is mentioned, which, if true, would give buyers more chance to procure one; the Ferrari only made 599 units of the 599 GTO. One-of-a-kind aluminum Ferrari Daytona barn find to be auctioned

Fri, Aug 25 2017

Every gearhead loves a good barn find, and this one will probably go down as one of the best. The car in question is a 1969 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, which is a special-enough car for its gorgeous looks, impressive performance and appearance in Miami Vice. But this one is extra-special because it's a one-of-a-kind; the only aluminum-bodied Daytona built for street use. It's the latter part of that description that makes it unique. Ferrari did build a few other aluminum Daytonas, but those five cars, according to RM Sotheby's, were built specifically for racing. This one was just a normal street-ready Daytona painted in red with a black leather interior. It was sold to the founder of an Italian automotive magazine, and it changed hands within the country a few times. In 1971, it was imported to Japan where it was driven and enjoyed until its last owner parked it in 1980, where it sat until this year. RM Sotheby's will auction the car at a special Ferrari auction in Maranello on Sept. 9, 2017, where it will be sold alongside a new LaFerrari Aperta. The car will be sold in the condition you see above. The odometer reads 36,390 kilometers (about 22,611 miles), and it's believed the number is accurate. A Ferrari specialist also confirmed that the body, chassis and powertrain all match. The pictures show that the car also includes a comprehensive tool kit that includes a lead hammer for removing/attaching the knock-off wheel nuts. RM Sotheby's expects this car to sell for between ˆ1.4 million and ˆ1.7 million, which is about $1.66 million to $2.02 million at current exchange rates. Of course if the buyer wants to fully restore this car as opposed to simply preserving it, the owner could be looking at some hefty costs to bring it back to like-new condition. Mike Tyson's 1995 Ferrari F50 packs one helluva punch

Tue, Feb 21 2017

Despite a reputation as a bit of a letdown following the now legendary Ferrari F40, the Ferrari F50 is still one of the most raw and unfettered sports cars to ever grace public roads. RM Sotheby's auctions is now selling a pristine 5,694-mile example that was once owned by former professional boxer Mike Tyson. Like Tyson, the F50 and its Formula One derived V12 is sure to leave a lasting impact on anyone that crosses its path. Though the celebrity tax varies from car to car, Hagerty's valuation tool says even a heavily used F50 is still a million-plus dollar car. RM Sotheby's expects the car to sell for between $2.2 and $2.4 million, slightly more than the $2.25 million estimate for a nearly flawless example, which this car appears to be. According to the listing, the car has never been driven hard and has been well maintained throughout its life. The 1990s weren't Ferrari's best years for design with soft edges and questionable fascias. Likewise, the F50 is a love it or hate it sort of design. The paint appears to be in good condition and free of any damage. The bare carbon fiber and leather interior shows little to no wear. The gated manual shifter connected to a 4.7-liter naturally-aspirated 520 horsepower V12 is a combo that's gone out of vogue. The engine is derived from the one that powered the Alain Prost's 1990 Ferrari 641 Formula One car. This car is number 73 out of 349 and one of only 50 built to US spec. Tyson sold the car with roughly 4,900 miles, with the rest accumulating since about 2005. The car's service records are incomplete, though it has had an a couple of engine-out services along a full electronic updates, a new rear seal, rebuilt oil and water pumps, the dashboard pod removed, serviced, and reinstalled, the lighting system upgraded, the ride height actuator replaced, new tires, new fuel bladders, a full brake system service, and new main seals. In addition, the car comes with two sets of tools in the front deck, owner's manuals and warranty booklet in their leather folio, wheel socket, car cover in bag, both the removable hardtop and emergency soft top with bag, utility light, its window sticker, and the "circus trunk" containing roll bars, and a carbon rear tonneau cover. Look for the car to head across the auction block on Saturday March 11. No Internet bidding, but if you have the cash to pony up the you probably can afford to be there in person. Related Video:
