PLEASE read terms & details about my listings before bidding, and make sure that funds are available for this transaction. If new and not sure how eBay works don’t hesitate to contact me first!! Be mindful and considerate when bidding, listings on eBay cost time and money... Thank you.

I'm listing this VERY NICE 2005 Chevrolet Equinox LT with about 67,000 miles for a very good friend of mine, he's also a dealer. AutoCheck's Score is 79. Similar vehicles range between 61 and 85, so this one scores high! This is also an accident FREE and 3 owner 100% Florida Sports Utility! I will be glad to email the report upon request.

This Equinox is awesome and still runs and drives like a new! Everything works as it should including cold A/C. Steering is centered and tight; engine feels smooth and powerful, etc. Tires are above average condition also. Because is its low miles there's really not much more to say other than it's ready to go to a new home! Also, it comes with two remote keys!

Cosmetically it's also in good shape. Paint still shines like new and all body panels are straight, etc. The paint finish does have some light scuffs and blemishes here and there, but nothing alarming whatsoever. Interior is good too showing minor wear and tear. There are some light carpet stains, and radio button and other utility knobs have some wear discoloration. Also, wheels have some oxidation too. Other than these points, this Chevy's overall condition is good! (Please view all photos!) Note: Images show missing rear spoiler because it needed attention. Spoiler is now back in its place and properly fitted!

In conclusion, if looking for a nice Equinox then I feel that this one should make the new owner a very happy one! This is a turn-key vehicle and that can be driven anywhere in the country! Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Reasonable offers always welcomed... 727.667.4084.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
