Unmolested 1971 Porsche 911 S Targa that left the factory in beautiful color combination Gold metallic exterior over black interior.
This is a Factory Porsche 911S Targa with the matching numbers engine and MFI still installed. Car runs and drives as
it should, and pulls really hard, like you would expect it. The engine fires right up and runs smooth without any
issues. Tranny shifts flawless through all 5 gears. The Body is virtually rust free, with no accident damage
Although the car is un-restored it still has had some work done that was necessary to preserve the excellent
condition…
Starting with the paint… The factory gold metallic paint (8810) was known to fade over the years and so the car
received a high quality respray in it’s original color back in the late 90’s. Also the front seats got a new
factory upholstery. All service and maintenance was performed by well known Porsche mechanics in California. A
redone Targa top to factory specs… A brand new Sachs clutch kit replacing the main wheel bearing seal (0
miles)… 4 brand new Pirelli Tires with 0 miles (Factory spare still with original unused tire)… Fuel tank was
removed, flushed and re-coated inside…
this is a really honest Porsche 911 S in collector quality condition with one of the rarest color combinations.

Porsche Macan caught completely uncovered
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Porsche is preparing to launch its sub-Cayenne CUV, with a suspected debut at the 2013 Los Angeles International Auto Show, which means we're right about at the point where undisguised models start scampering around the cities and towns of Germany. Our spy photographers snagged just such a model, with only the headlights and taillights concealed by camouflage (no, those comically large lamps aren't a production item).
The undisguised car looks like a tiny Cayenne. Not really surprising, we know, but it's impressive to see how the Cayenne's styling works with the smaller proportions of the Macan. It looks squat, athletic and poised, like it's a small, "sporty" crossover we'd actually want to drive. Both the Macan and the Macan Turbo are shown, with the more powerful model sporting a set of quad exhausts.
The only big questions now concern the shape of the lights and the interior. From the photos, we can see a rough outline of the headlights, although the taillights are more difficult to discern. The interior remains a mystery.
Porsche 911 Cabriolet refresh may hide new engine
Wed, 22 Jan 2014If we learned nothing else from our recent frolic through Porsche's secret museum, it's that the automaker goes to incredible lengths to disguise future products during initial testing. Just as a number of cars in that Stuttgart bunker hid the true identity of developmental mules (like the Audi-V8-powered 911), such could very well be the case with these spy shots showing what, on the surface, appears to be simply a facelifted 991 911 Cabriolet.
Similar to what we saw last month on a 911 coupe, this Cabriolet has obvious styling modifications made to the front and rear fascias suggesting that the 911's still-fresh appearance is already set to get a few tweaks. The big news here is at the rear of the car. The additional vents on the lower edge of the fascia and the mocked-up vent above the engine leads our spy photographer to believe that a new engine could be tucked under the body work - likely a smaller-displacement, turbocharged flat-six focusing more on improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions rather than performance.
We last heard rumblings of such a detuned 911 back in August, but could this be our first look at said new model? Have a look for yourself, and let us know what you think - either about this mule specifically or the idea of a "green" 911, in Comments below.
2014 Porsche Cayman promo video hits the web
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Don't know how we missed this, but you don't have to play around with the 2014 Porsche Cayman configurator to see the new coupe in action; Porsche has given us more than two beautiful minutes of Cayman footage to enjoy.
The partners in the on-screen tango are the 275-horsepower base Cayman and the 325-hp Cayman S. If you like to keep track of such things, the former starts at $52,600, the latter at $63,800, plus $950 destination for each. Watching a video like the one below, however, is free.
