1997 Defender 90 Fully Restored To Your Specs Only 38,000 Miles Auto S/wagon on 2040-cars
Pompano Beach, Florida, United States
Here is my 1997 land rover defender 90 that is currently undergoing restoration... And will be sold completely finished...It is completely disassembled at the moment and it is being painted its original white but in a flat white.. I have decided to list it before I finish it in case someone wanted to do it in a different colour or gloss white.. This is a professional "restoration" on a very low mileage vehicle.. I am one of the largest land rover repair shops in Florida and this vehicle was purchased by me when the customer overheated the engine and wanted to trade it in on a late model discovery that I owned. The paint had been neglected so I decide to completely pull it apart, redid the engine and all components received any attention it needed.. This is the automatic hardtop station wagon model with a/c. I will be updating to power windows and central door remote locking. I will also be adding complete sound and heat insulation in the interior as it goes back together. This model is extremely sought after as it is the only year that came in automatic transmission.. I will be offering a warranty with this vehicle also, this can be discussed further with potential customers..I have included pics of this vehicle before I disassembled it for repainting. Also.. This vehicle has no signs or history of accidents and will be free and clear of any faults.

Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
Jaguar-Land Rover builds millionth vehicle at Halewood
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Jaguar-Land Rover is not what you'd call a volume automaker by any stretch of the imagination. But in the dozen years since it started manufacturing at its Halewood plant near Liverpool, England, the automaker has already built its millionth vehicle.
The landmark vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque, done up in white with red roof and mirrors, black wheels and a red and black interior. The crossover is set to be donated to Cancer Research UK, which will auction it off next year to help fund its projects in the north-west of the country.
Halewood started manufacturing the Jaguar X-Type in 2001, then went on to assemble the Land Rover LR2 / Freelander 2 before taking on production of the Evoque a year and a half ago. The facility reached the 300,000-unit milestone just last year as production moved to a 24-hour cycle for the first time in either marque's history.
Jaguar Land Rover may build factory in Saudi Arabia
Tue, 11 Dec 2012The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing markets for Land Rover, so it makes sense that the automaker is looking to set up shop in the region. According to Automotive News, Jaguar Land Rover is in talks with the people of Saudi Arabia to build a factory in the country at an expected initial cost of $1.2 billion. Still in the early stage of talks, the proposed facility could start up by 2017 using locally sourced materials such as steel and aluminum.
Such an arrangement could be beneficial for both entities as Saudi Arabia looks to diversify its oil-reliant economy and Land Rover could get local production capacity of around 50,000 units. The report also says that the agreement talks about the possibility for Jaguar models to be built at the same plant further down the road.
This won't be the first vehicle produced in Saudi Arabia - that honor goes to the KSU Gazal-1 - but it will be the first from a major global automaker.
