YOU ARE VIEWING A RARE AND CLEAN, LOW MILE JIMMY.  IT ONLY HAS HAD TWO OWNERS BEFORE ME. IT HAS ALL THE OPTIONS TO INCLUDE:  AIR CONDITIONING, POWER WINDOWS, POWER LOCKS, POWER MIRRORS (RARE!), REAR POWER WINDOW, DELAY WIPERS AND CRUISE CONTROL. ALL ITEMS ARE WORKING!  THE PAINT IS ORIGINAL SO THE NEW OWNER CAN SEE WHAT HE OR SHE IS BUYING. IT HAS A FEW HAIL DINGS ON THE HOOD AND THE CLEAR COAT IS FADING ON THE HOOD AND SIDES IN SOME AREAS BECAUSE OF THE COLORADO SUN. THE ONLY RUST ISSUE IS DOWN BY THE PASSENGER DOOR (SIZE OF MY THUMB) IS A RESULT OF SITTING IN THE OWNERS DRIVEWAY. UNDERNEATH IS EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN AND DRY. THIS JIMMY IS ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE LIFT KIT AND EXHAUST. THE LIFT KIT IS A SUPERLIFT 6" WITH DUAL SHOCKS UP FRONT AS WELL AS DUAL STEERING STABILIZERS. IT DRIVES VERY STRAIGHT AND TIGHT DOWN THE HIGHWAY!  THE LIFT WAS INSTALLED SOMEWHERE AROUND 2003-04. THE EXHAUST IS A TRUE DUAL SETUP WITH DYNOMAX MUFFLERS AND DUAL HIGH FLOW CATS. SOUNDS SWEET. NOT LOUD OR OBNOXIOUS AT ALL. I BELIEVE THE PREVIOUS OWNER STATED THE THE GEAR RATIOS ARE 3.42. IT CRUISES AT 65 MPH @ 1600RPM. THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION PERFORM AS THEY SHOULD, SMOOTH AND QUIET. THIS JIMMY HAS NEVER HAD A HITCH INSTALLED OR HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROADED. IT HAS ALWAYS HAD ADULT OWNERS. THE INTERIOR IS BEAUTIFUL WITH NO RIPS OR STAINS. AS YOU CAN SEE BY THE PICS, IT HAS NOT BEEN ABUSED.  THERE HAS NOT BEEN AND PETS, KIDS, OR SMOKING!  I DRIVE IT DAILY AND IT IS A BLAST!  I HAVE INSTALLED A FEW NEW ITEMS:  NEW WINDSHIELD, NEW B.F. GOODRICH ALL TERRAINS SIZE 35 x12.50 x 15's ($1100.00). I HAD THE TAIL PIPES REDONE TO TUCK THEM UNDER THE REAR BUMPER. IT HAD BIG CHROME SLASH CUT TIPS. I THINK IT CLEANS UP THE REAR LOOK.

IF THERE IS ANYTHING I HAVEN'T COVERED OR IF YOU NEED ANY ADDITIONAL PICS, PLEASE CALL ME AT 303-905-7067
THANKS, BRIAN

Chevy Silverado edges Ram 1500 in Consumer Reports two-truck shootout

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Forget Corvette versus Viper. When it comes to important head-to-head comparisons, fullsize trucks are where domestic automakers really care. And until the redesigned Ford F-150 makes its debut, the Chevrolet Silverado is going to have plenty to brag about thanks to a new Consumer Reports shootout against the Ram 1500.
It was a tight race among these V8-powered titans, but the all-new 2014 Silverado (and its GMC Sierra twin) barely edged out Ram's updated pickup with a score of 81 points - enough to make it the institute's top-rated fullsize truck on the market. Its narrow victory over the Ram, which finished just three points back, was due to its superior fuel economy, better towing and payload capacity and conveniences like a lower step-in height, easy-to-use tailgate and rear bumper steps that make loading and unloading less of a chore.
Importantly, CR notes that buyers with less heavy-duty truck needs might actually prefer the Ram over the Chevrolet, since its high points include a smoother ride thanks to its coil spring rear suspension, dominant infotainment system with Uconnect, and a big thumbs up for the available Hemi engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra debut all-new designs, three new engines

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

General Motors has finally dropped the curtain on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Both trucks have undergone substantial revisions with updated versions of the company's 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. In a shot across the bows of both Ford and Chrysler, GM says it won't use a V6 engine adapted from passenger car applications. Instead, it developed the 4.3-liter engine based on its proven truck-duty architecture.
All three mills will boast direct injection fuel systems as well as a new cylinder head design. Combined with a revised piston, the new engines feature a smaller combustion chamber with a compression ratio of 11:1 or higher depending on the application. Cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing are all part of the recipe, and each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade breaking. So far, no fuel economy or horsepower figures have been released, though GM says the new engines will best their predecessors in both areas.
Outside, the trucks feature a number of enhancements to reduce drag and wind noise, and GM claims both the Silverado and Sierra will offer buyers some of the quietest cabins in the class. Extended cab models now feature front-hinged rear doors to allow easier access to the back passenger area, and Crew Cab buyers can now select between a five-foot, eight-inch bed or a six-foot, six-inch bed. Buyers with a mind toward going off road will also rejoice in the return of the Z71 package, complete with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and additional under-body protection.

Chevy Express 1500, GMC Savana 1500 get the axe

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

Fans of truck-based, light-duty vans can officially pour one out for the Chevrolet Express 1500 and GMC Savana 1500, as General Motors has officially put its long-serving big/little rigs out to pasture. Things aren't quite as sad as they sound, though. The heavier-duty 2500 and 3500 vans will soldier on, in order to duke it out with the largest members of Ram ProMaster, Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter families.
The move does seem to make a lot of sense. According to GM, customers only purchase the 1500-spec Chevrolet 23 percent of the time, while the GMC captures a mere 7 percent of the Savana family's sales. With numbers like that, it's no shock that GM thinks it can shift some of its buyers into its van family's more capable variants. "We knew we could move a lot of our 1500 customers into 2500-series territory," said GM's Joe Langhauser, the product manager for the company's full-size vans.
It's not just simple sales figures dictating the move, though. The 1500 line is taking up some valuable factory space that will be better spent on an eagerly anticipated new product.
