I have 1965 Mustang Fastback. The car was a 6 cylinder when new now has a 289 motor that runs great. The front end has the A arms lowered 1 inch, has a 1 inch away bar. The rear has 3.89 gears, and a 9" trac lock, 7/8 rear sway bar, KYB shocks front and rear. The wheels are 7" Magnum 500.  The motor is a 289 v8 4 barrel 600 holley single feed TRW oil pump, TRW bearings, Flex pro gaskets, Competition cam, Torker intake, ported and polished heads, intake runners polished to match. cam 280 dur, 490 lifters chrome headers. The trans is a 4 speed top loader 2.73 gears. Options A/C ,RALLEY PAC 6,000 RPM, remote mirror, day-nite mirror, traction bars The car runs GREAT, and shifts GREAT. The body iis real solid underneth, the floor boards look great, the frame looks real good, the underside of the car is a shinny  black paint. the out side paint has some checking on the roof and back panel below the rear window not on the trunk lid , I think this can be wet sanded and buffed out, and a small place on the drivers door that needs fixed and painted there is a little bubbing here and there very little. The glass is all fine. the A/C is all there but the belt was taken off because the prior owner never used the A/C he said it worked up untill then, he wanted to get better gas mileage. The interior looks like brand new, the ralley pac even works both the tach and the clock work. The trunk has no signs of ever having rear quarters put on and the trunk is detailed. The chome on the car is in great shape. Everthing on the door tag matches the car, red interior, red car , 4 speed. This is a great car.  The body # match the vin that match the door tag. If you have any ? please call me at 419-571-9777. thank you If you can find a nicer car for the money you should buy it.

Ford bringing production F-150 to Detroit with Atlas styling and Alcoa blast shields

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

According to a report in Bloomberg, the 2015 Ford F-150 will indeed be showing up at the Detroit Auto Show next month. It will bring attitude with it, not only in the form of sheetmetal inspired by the Atlas concept (pictured) that appeared at the 2013 Detroit show but also in the Alcoa military blast shields among the display being used to showcase the ruggedness of aluminum.
There's been a lot of talk about the F-150 switching to aluminum body panels (although maintaining a steel frame), and for good reason. The lightweight body is expected to shed more than 700 pounds and greatly increase its highway mileage, but production-line issues and possible delays have been a major focus of attention concerning the best-selling vehicle in America for 32 years, meaning Ford has to get it right. F-150 is responsible for a massive portion of the company's global profits and it will come in a year when company profits are already predicted to decline because of new car launches.
When it comes to dings, the Bloomberg story says Ford wants Alcoa to supply some of the military-grade aluminum it uses for blast shields on battlefield vehicles to help it talk up the toughness of aluminum. Reading commentary on the many stories about the F-150 reveals there are many more little questions about the aluminum overhaul, like "How much will it cost to repair and insure?" and "How will companies hang their magnetic signs?" Answers should start coming in a couple of weeks.

Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]

Sat, 09 Mar 2013

Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...

Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.
