You are bidding on a Super Clean All Original truck we ordered from Ford in 2001. It has literally been driven by only my wife the entire time. She has raised both our children with it and has a been an absolute perfect veichle. it has every option by Ford other than sun roof. 7.3 L Diesel, Alloy wheels, luggage rack, keyless entry, rear defogger/windshield wiper, fog lights, leather upholstery, power seat, overhead console, vcr/dvd hook up with in ceiling drop down screen, cd fm, dual controls with remote, rear tinted windows, heated seats, anti theft, four wheel drive with lock out hubs. it gets 16 to 19 average mpg all day long, It burns or uses no oil at all and does not smoke a lick. There are a few stress pulls in the front driver's seat. We have good seat covers we have had on for two years that go with it. there are some faded spots on the black plastic pcs, the windshield has a crack and three stone chips in it but is not in the view of driving. The interior is in fabulous shape including the carpet. The Michelin Tires are at about 20 % left but still hold the road well. We completely re-built the front end last year and now drives very tight. had new shocks installed two years ago, two one year old Interstate batteries. the electric locks sometimes hangs up on one door, all in all it's in great shape. The tach needle came loose three years ago. The check engine light has been on and checked out by Ford and is a sensor that turns on the light and has no bearing on the engine's performance at all. My wife's ready for a new veichle and this one has certainly served us well. This truck has never been beaten or take in the mud it has only been driven by a little lady from Onalaska it's entire one owner life and is ready for someone who can appreciate one of the best trucks ever made.

Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Feb 2013What looks to be the next Ford Edge has been leaked in an apparent corporate Powerpoint presentation deck. Despite the thumbnail image's blurry and pixelated quality, it appears as if the next generation crossover will be staying close to its current aesthetic despite an all-new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights.
The upscale-minded Blue Oval CUV is due for a redesign in 2015, having just received a mid-cycle refresh for 2011. It isn't clear what changes lie beneath the new skin, either in terms of mechanicals or interior refinement, but we suspect Ford will be looking to put some distance between the next generation model and the new Escape, which is suddenly much more car-like and not that far off the more expensive Edge in terms of overall size, power or refinement.
UPDATE: Substituted clearer image - thanks, Sean!
Daily Driver: 2015 Ford Flex
Mon, Mar 16 2015The Ford Flex has been around. It's not T-Rex or even Model T old, but still; it's been hauling people and stuff since 2008 without a major redesign. That's quite a long time in the car world. Sales have been sliding the last couple of years, and the Flex is now considered a niche player in the crossover-centric US auto market. But that doesn't mean it's still not a pretty good vehicle for its purpose: If you need to haul people and stuff, there are few better choices. Some even think it's a guilty pleasure. I spent a winter afternoon tooling around suburban Detroit in a handsomely equipped Flex Limited. We're talking the 3.5-liter EcoBoosted V6 with 365 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Inside, there were big comfy seats, lots of leather, acres of storage space and even a built-in refrigerator. The drive ended up being surprisingly fun. If there's such a thing as a hot-rod minivan, this is it. I also got noticed. The Flex's boxy design has aged well. It's still polarizing, but there aren't many contemporary vehicles that look like a Flex. So if you've ever seen a Flex on the road, and thought: "Man, that thing is big. I wonder what it's like to drive that?" Now's your chance to find out.
Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
