Solid 2002 Chevy Tahoe.  Runs and drives very well.  Strong Truck..  The following is a summary of the plus and minus:

Positives:

(1) Good low miles at 121,000.  I had it for almost four years and only put about 25k.  Not driven hard and only use on some occasional such as going to Home Depot.

(2) A/C is ice cold.  Dual zones

(3) Good tires with plenty of meat

(4) No warning lights, no check engine lights, etc

(5) Very strong truck and very comfortable

(6) Decent light grey leather interiors, and third row seats

(7) Very little rust

(8) Nice sounding sport exhaust

Negative:

(1) Although the a/c and heating works well, currently the fan switch only works on high

(2) Moon roof does not open.  Not sure why.  I purchase it that way and never looked into it.  It does not leak.  just doesn't open.  Maybe a switch

(3)Although the body is pretty solid, there are some paint imperfections.  Please look at the pictures.  The rear driver quarter has some paint fade and clear coat peeling.  It looks like that quarter panel was repaint at some point.  The hood has some paint peeling.  The trunk door as  a long horizontal scratch.  Again, please look at the pictures.  If you have any questions, please let me know

(4) Interior is fairly clean.  The driver's armrest vinyl cover is crack and torn.  Why GM did not make the armrest leather like the seats makes no sense.

Summary,

This is pretty much it.  Just a solid and comfortable truck.  This beast is being sold As Is.  Thank you

Patrick

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
