This has been a very dependable vehicle for me and never left me stranded. Vortek bulletproof motor runs good, tranny shifts well, brakes are fine, This truck does not leak any oil or tranny fluid or anything else, so you wont have to worry about your new blacktop or garage. I would drive this anywhere, but the rear broken spring will need fixed some time soon as it will rattle. It is my daily vehicle although it doesnt get used much. When I bought it I wanted Black 2 Door and intended to restore it little by little as I drove it. They are becoming quite collectable and parts are cheap. It was a Jersey vehicle and had very little rust starting, Since I own it I have coated the undercarriage and motor bay, brake lines, chassis, behind fenders, gas tank anything I could reach 2x a year got sprayed down with WD40, of course I would wash the undercarriage twice a year also. Being that WD40 doesnt conduct I also was generous in soaking the engine bay, and it looks great. There is no rust under the doors and under the back doors. This is a 1999 last year of this body style and a very worthy candidate to be finished and minted. Almost the whole front end is new and it drives tight. Yes THE AC WORKS! one of the last things I did but it blows out lightly from front and most goes out the defroster, needs a new climate control fan control switches which come as one piece for about $75.00. It has the leather which is in nice shape except for the normal rip in drivers side seat, but the passenger side is showing wear but no rips. I took the back seats which are in mint condition out and it is stored in my house. Has a nice cd player. I have over 8K into this vehicle and hate to part with it. Mostly just needs paint and bodywork left but looks pretty good as is. To make it easy heres a list of what I did and what it needs, if you have any questions you can call me and leave a message Ill get back 315-638-1570.

Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too
Fri, 07 Dec 2012We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.
Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
