2007 Chevrolet Suburban Lt 4wd Heated Leather 3rd Row Euc! on 2040-cars

Year:2007 Mileage:164384

Trenton, Missouri, United States

Welcome to this auction for our 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT 4WD.  Feel free to call me with any questions at 660-654-2337.  If you win this auction, please call me within 24 hours after the end of auction.  My favorite option on this Suburban is where the 8 cylinders shut down to 4 for more better fuel economy.  I average 15 mpg on short trips and 18 mpg for a longer duration of driving.  This Suburban is mechanically sound and runs great!  The transmission shifts smooth, and the tires have around 15k miles on them.  Last week, the rear brakes and rotors were replaced; the front were still like new.  The 3rd row seats can be removed for more cargo room an the middle row fold forward which creates even more room.  This Suburban is safe and reliable with a little more than 164k miles on the engine.

This vehicle needs nothing and is great for road trips!  Also, the leather, heated seats in the front are perfect for our cold weather in Missouri.  When needing 4WD, it's the easiest system that I've ever used.  Simply, turn the switch to auto, 4 high, or 4 low for extreme conditions (I've not had to use that).  I love how the Suburban handles in the snow and rain!  Also, the back up sensors are a life saver as they beep every time you back up.  This is my second Suburban and I'm hoping to get a newer one.  Basically, this vehicle has every option except a sunroof and navigation.   I'm sure that I'm forgetting something, so please contact me for further questions.

This Suburban has normal wear and tear.  I take great pride in my vehicles and this is in excellent used condition.

The winner will have 7 days to pick the Suburban up in Trenton, Missouri with a certified bank draft.  Thank you, Tim

GM recalls 8,500 Chevrolet Malibu models for rear suspension glitch

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

According to a letter from General Motors to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, flaws in the build process of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu have led to the recall of 8,519 cars. Units built between December 6, 2011 and January 15, 2013 may have been assembled with rear suspension cradles that had insufficient torque applied to certain bolts. That out-of-spec assembly could lead to issues ranging from slight noises to a loss of vehicle control.
The problem was first noticed in December of last year by a GM test fleet driver and eventually tracked back to the improperly torqued bolts on the suspension cradle assembled through July 2012 by a supplier located not too far from the Malibu's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Since an official NHTSA recall notice has not been issued yet, it isn't clear whether or not Detroit-built Malibus were the only ones affected (the 2013 Malibu is also built at GM's Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas). Dealers will fix the problem by inspecting vehicles for proper torque specs, retightening if not within specs and, in some cases, perform a rear-wheel alignment.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum.
