This is a unique truck, Stock number CS4422 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 with a DURAMAX DIESEL engine and ALLISON FIVE SPEED automatic transmission. It is 3/4 ton, four wheel drive. The engine is a 2005 LLY Duramax. The conversion was done professionally, and everything that pertains to the conversion looks like it was done that way from the factory. The Suburban has 200k miles on it but the engine and transmission have only 118,066 on them. The Suburban has the tan leather interior with no rips or tears, the front seats are heated, the middle row is captains chairs, the rear row is a bench, so you have the rare seating capasity of 8, power windows, power door locks, digital dual climate control, air conditioning, rear air conditioning with controls, cruise control, six disc cd changer, Bose stereo, and automatic headlights, the tires have decent tread on them. We also incorporated the instrument cluster from the Duramax into the Suburban and all gauges and lights function as they should. The Suburban has the 8 lug drive train with 3.73 gears. It also has four wheel disc brakes and locking rear differential. The Duramax engine runs real nice and looks like it was made that way from the factory, The Allison transmission shifts perfectly. The four wheel drive works great. All fluids and filters have been changed. It has two batteries like the diesels came with. The Suburban drives and handles real smooth. There is a lot of potential for this truck. This truck is in good shape, but does have some signs of wear it is a 2003. With an average MPG of 19 it's economical enough to be your daily driver, you can accomadate 8 passengers comfortably, haul the boat to the lake, and spank the sports cars, ALL in one luxurious truck. Call to set up a time for your test drive, that is the only way to fully appreciate this truck. We welcome any and all questions so please Dale at 303-594-9830. All vehicles are sold as is where is. Vehicle is open for inspecttion prior to sale. All sales are final.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
