2002 Suburban 2500 4x4 Black with grey leather interior. Has the rare 8.1 engine with 373 gear ratio so not to bad on fuel. I was getting 15 miles to the gallon with it. It has brand new tires I paid 850.00 for. Here is the story on it as short as I can be. I wreaked the suburban and bought it back from the insurance company. It was hit on the passenger side at the door post where the front fender and front door meet. The body work is done and the frame was straightened but needs a little attention for alignment. The suburban needs a little more work to be ready for inspection. I have all of the receipts of everything that has been done so far which will have to be taken along when it gets inspected. I have about 9000.00 wrapped up in this and have most of the stuff to finish just need it gone. My loss your gain these things are hard to find in 2500 series and really hard to find with the 8.1 engine and big transmission with auto ride suspension. Clean title with no rust like mine are still bringing over 10 to 14 grand. Mine being salvage is still worth about the 9000.00 range in the extremely good condition mine is in with no rust and very low miles. This suburban is loaded with every option including a 4000.00 clarion TV DVD system. You could part this out and get your money back or spend about 1200.00 to finish it and have a nice suburban at a good price. Serious calls only this will take someone knowing what they are doing to finish. Call me and I will give you the complete history and send you pictures of what it looked like right after the accident. The suburban is very clean and has tons of potential with not much more to do for the mechanically inclined. The only reason I am trying to sell is we have a 16 month old baby we are adding on to the house for and need the money to finish it which sucks because we also need the suburban because of the baby and can't afford both right now. PLEASE no ridiculously low offers or wanting to trade a bunch of junk for it, this is very nice and clean and I know what it is worth. Call Aaron for questions and more details.  thanks for looking.

P.S. I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH ONLY SERIOUS CALLS AND PEOPLE THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING BECAUSE IT STILL NEEDS WORK TO BE ABLE TO BE PUT BACK ON THE ROAD!!!

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
