Up for sale is my 1995 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 LS (4x4) with a 6.5 Turbo-Diesel Engine.  I purchased this suburban right here on Ebay in June 2009 out of Houston Texas.  I am selling it now because my wife bought a new 8 passanger SUV, so I am off the hook for baseball/football practices.

The suburban is a 3/4 ton (K2500 series) 4wd, automatic xmsn, 3rd row seat "LS" version with 301,494 miles on it.  I have driven this suburban as my daily work commuter, and for after school activities.

The engine, drivetrain and 4wd are all in good working condition.  I have owned it since 181,057 miles and have serviced it religiously.  I have done several upgrades along the way to include a new standadyne Injector pump (15,000 miles ago); a set of SS Diesel 40HP Marine Injectors, and a 4" stainless steel exhaust.  It also has the FSD heat sync upgrade for the PMD.  The 4L80E automatic transmission was rebuilt/upgraded approx 25,000 ago with a "Trans-Go" kit installed then.  I also installed a 1 1/2" suspension lift to give it a nicer stance, as well as mudflaps and nerf bars.  The suburban comes with a class 4 hitch (2" receiver) and is wired for a Prodigy brake controller.

The body/frame is in excellent condition for the vehicles age-gotta love Texas.

The paint is probably the trucks weakpoint.  It is faded above the windshield, and a spot on the hood.  It has a normal amount of scratches and dings for its age/mileage.  The interior is in fair condition.  There is wear on the driver's cloth seat and has some marks in the headliner.  The top of the dash is cracked as you can see from my pictures.

Overall the SUV is in good physical/operational condition, and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.  The car is available for local pickup, or I can assist the buyer in shipping the vehicle at their expense.  I would also consider delivering the SUV up to 100 miles for an additional fee. The suburban is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Any questions, please feel free to contact me here on ebay.  I check my email on a regular basis, and will respond in a resonable amount of time.  Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
