1970 Chevy C-20 4x4, 350 V8, Automatic Transmission, NP 205 transfer case, Rear Locking differential, Selectro Locking Hubs, Dual Exhaust, All Original, "Including Paint" One Owner, 189,650 total miles, Engine overhauled including balancing @ 85,000. When the engine was overhauled the ignition system was replaced with electronic ignition. Recently removed from storage after ten years. Replaced the following, Radiator, Steering Wheel, Battery, Valve Cover Gaskets, Windshield, and Belts. Rebuilt the Original Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor. Serviced the Transmission. Vehicle has been in New Mexico since purchase and as a result is virtually rust free. Used mainly for family vacations to haul the cab over camper. Tires in great shape. If you are considering doing a frame off restoration this is the vehicle for it, it is in great condition. I am selling it for my father-in-law who is the original owner. The windshield washer pump does not work but the wipers do. The radio is not original, and does not work. Also the left return spring on the turn signal is broken. There are a few very minor dints and dings consistent with average use, And there is a broken spring in the seat on the drivers sidebut the seats are other wise in great shape. That is what I know about this truck. This is a great older truck for someone wanting a vintage 4x4. These are getting harder to find and especially in this condition. Thanks for looking.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.

GM recalls 8,500 Chevrolet Malibu models for rear suspension glitch

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

According to a letter from General Motors to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, flaws in the build process of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu have led to the recall of 8,519 cars. Units built between December 6, 2011 and January 15, 2013 may have been assembled with rear suspension cradles that had insufficient torque applied to certain bolts. That out-of-spec assembly could lead to issues ranging from slight noises to a loss of vehicle control.
The problem was first noticed in December of last year by a GM test fleet driver and eventually tracked back to the improperly torqued bolts on the suspension cradle assembled through July 2012 by a supplier located not too far from the Malibu's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Since an official NHTSA recall notice has not been issued yet, it isn't clear whether or not Detroit-built Malibus were the only ones affected (the 2013 Malibu is also built at GM's Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas). Dealers will fix the problem by inspecting vehicles for proper torque specs, retightening if not within specs and, in some cases, perform a rear-wheel alignment.

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
