1971 Chevy Ss Nova. 4wd. Real Ss Car. Turbo 400. Np 205. Super Sport. on 2040-cars
Doylestown, Pennsylvania, United States
Here is a Real 1971 Chevy Nova Super Sport that was built into a killer 4X4. This car was built back in 1983 and was a show winner at the Philadelphia Custom Car Show that same year. The Nova has had Both full quarter panels replaced along with both doors and both front fenders with New GM sheet metal. Also both bumpers were replaced with New GM bumpers at the same time. The Hood and trunk lid are original to the car. This thing is real nice inside and out. Has a Tilt/Telescopic steering wheel from a Cadillac. The original Nova frame was connected with 3x3 square stock so a custom cross member could be hung to hold the Turbo 400 transmission with a New Process 205 gear drivin transfer case. Power is delivered via custom drive shafts to a GM 12 bolt back rear and a GM 10 bolt front rear. Both with 3:73 gears. Rolling stock is a set of vintage 33x12.50R15 B.F Goodrich All Terrain Radial Tires on finned aluminum wheels. The Nova was painted a gorgeous Maroon color and a new black vinyl top was then installed. The original automatic console with gauge package was retained and the 4 wheel drive shifter now resides in it. Hand Pin striping all around the Nova adds a nice touch of class.
Title is Reconstructed as the car was turned into a truck so it could be legally inspected in the state of Pennsylvania. The Nova runs and drives and is now ready for a new home! Don't miss out on a One of a Kind SS Nova!! This Nova is owned and built by a life long mechanic. Any questions feel free to ask! Check out my other items! |

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. For more on the what to expect out of GM's new SUVs, click on the C/D link below.

2013 Detroit Auto Show
More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
