~This is a Beautiful 1968 Chevy Nova II. 100% rust free California show car! 350 V8, turbo 350 automatic transmission, power steering and brakes. Sold brand new at Felix Chevrolet of Los Angles on 3/25/1968 and its never left. She's never seen a day of snow or a salty road in its life. Absolutely no rust ever! Still retains both of its original black and yellow California license plates. I also have all of the original books and Protecto plate. Cars of this caliber rarely come around. Just a good, honest, rock solid Cali car! She's turn key, needs nothing and is ready to enjoy the day you get it.

Vin# 114278W293189
Trim tag reads as follows:
ST    03A
68 11427 45043
TR 733   P-P Paint

~The body and paint: Body is phenomenal! As stated before 100% rust free with all of its original body panels. Many cars claim to be rust free because someone has cut out all the rust and put new quater panels, floors, trunks, ect... Thats not rust free to me. This car truly is and always has been rust free. Body is laser straight with a very nice fit and finish. Its had one very high quality, 2 stage repaint about 5 years ago to its original color Seafoam green with black interior. The floors, frame, trunk and rockers are perfect! No rust, no patching, no undercoating crap, just nice and original. You can see all of the factory pinch welds down the rockers. The undercarriage is very nicely  detailed and just as nice as the top of the car. All of the chrome and trim is perfect!

~The interior has been redone to factory specs and I would says as cose to perfect as they come. Dash is perfect and uncut. Instruments are nice and bright. Still has the original radio. All of the glass is excellent.

~Mechanically: The entire driveline only has about 5,000 miles. The 350/350hp runs Strong! Transmission shifts nice and crisp. Brakes are good and stops on a dime. The car can be driven anywhere without hesitation.

~TERMS OF SALE - non refundable $1,000 deposit due 24 hours after auction ends. Truck needs to be paid for in full within 3 days. I will do everything I can to make this a pleasant buying experience but PLEASE do not bid on it if you do not intend to buy it or if you do not have your finances in order. Its not cheap to sell cars on eBay and it just wastes everyone’s time. Shipping is buyers responsibility but I will be happy to assist if you like. Usually $300-$1000 door to door C.O.D. anywhere in the US. International buyers welcome. I can have the truck transported to Los Angeles for overseas buyers. I encourage anybody who is interested to come look for themselves. I live in San Diego and would be more than happy to pick you up at the airport to view the truck in person. I do my best to represent and describe things as honestly and as accurately as possible. Truck is sold as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied. Thanks for looking and good luck!

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
