Nice Driver - Not Perfect on 2040-cars

This car is a nice driver but not a show car. Paint is older and beginning to fade. Looks great from 20 feet away. Usual small scratches and touch up spots. Runs and drives good. Has power steering and power drum brakes. Have front disc brake conversion kit that will come with car, not installed. Factory air car. New compressor and fan speed switch. Air blows cold but not real hard. New parts installed since I have owned include carb., steering box, alternator, voltage regulator, brakes, hoses and belts, radio and 4 speakers, package rack, trunk mat and spare tire cover, jack and lug wrench. Tires are new Cooper Cobras. Less than 100 miles since install and alignment. Probably forgetting some things. Interior is very nice. No rips or tears. Headliner very nice. All seat belts in place and appear to be original. Bench seat car with column shift. Armrest console that sits on bench seat. Body and frame solid. One small surface rust spot behind rear wheel on drivers side. About the size of a dime. Not even close to being rusted through. Vinyl top in great condition. NOT A TRUE SS! Has all SS badging and stripes. Sweep style speedometer indicates the car is a tribute car. Have tried to be honest in my description. Encourage you to come see and drive before bidding if possible. Will welcome third party inspections at your expense. Please do not bid unless you plan to purchase. Don't waste my time or yours. Any shipping will be the full responsibility of the buyer. Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
