2003 Chevrolet Malibu Base 3.1l No Reserve!! on 2040-cars
Sullivan, Illinois, United States
This is a NO RESERVE auction for a 2003 Chevy Malibu with 142,212 miles on it. It RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT, however has a slight exhaust leak and the rotors need to be turned or replaced along with the brake pads, other than that, this is a great car to have for this price especially and has no other mechanical issues!! This vehicle has VERY GOOD CARFAX REPORT WHICH CAN BE SEEN FREE ON THIS EBAY LISTING! This was used for our business here in Illinois and is no longer needed. It has ALL MAINTENENCE RECORDS SINCE NEW!! The vehicle was aquired from a government auction for our business along with some other vehicles and then is now being distributed here on eBay along with some other vehicle like trucks and such as the business is cleaning up. It has manual windows, power door locks, ABS brakes, factory CD stereo, and dual airbags. The AC blows very cold! The interior is very clean as you can see with no rips or tears and has good headliner. The radios knobs are missing as you can see in the pictures. It is very clean white paint with very clean grey interior. The windows are good with no cracks. There is NO RUST, NO MAJOR SCRATCHES, NO DENTS, NO LEAKS!! The tires are Goodyear and have tread on them which is very good and a space saver spare tire. The car has smooth running engine and automatic transmission that shifts good. This is a very good price for this vehicle, however it is a used car with average wear and tear and 142k. Please be ready to follow through with the auction terms, otherwise the vehicle will be relisted or sold to the next highest bidder. I am very fair and run my business that way. I don't really use ebay, so feedback isn't much, however I had recently sold some vehcles on here as it as the best option for distributing them right now, and I had super good results from buyers. Therefore of you have any questions or would like to view or inspect the vehicle for yourself, feel free to call me at 773-916-3751 or message me here on ebay. If you plan on shipping (which is usually cheaper), I will assist in arrangement as I have done so for previous buyers before. Thanks and good luck bidding.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors
Mon, 04 Feb 2013As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series
Thu, 31 Oct 2013During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
