1979 Chevy Malibu wagon in really nice shape.. this car is a great driver and is ready to cruze. It has the stock 305 and th350 trans. I did some mild upgrades to the motor for better performace and gas millage. New Edelbrock 500 carb, performer intake, Msd dist., plugs , msd wires, single 3inch exhaust with magnaflow muffler, new shocks, steering linkage, swaybar end links...The body is in great shape with newer paint. Has no rust anywhere on body or frame. Benn garage kept for most of its life.. One of the cleanest g bodys I have scene yet. The interior has a new carpet and the panels have been repainted black. Also very clean..the only thing i would do is use some of the eastwood vinal seat die and die the front seat black to match everything else. It does not look bad but is a slightly different blue then the rest of the interior. Everything is there for the A/C system just need to put a belt on it and charge it up. Worked great last summer..The only other thing I think it could use is an alignment cuz the wheel is slightly cocked when driving strait. Still drives great though..Car is a prefect platform for a build or just cruze it the way it is..You wont find a nicer one in this price ringe..

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.

GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.
