Hello,
This auction is for a 1964 Impala SS.
I have just installed new front bucket seats and rear seat covers, rebuilt the door panels to new including the arm rests and center console cover pad. New headliner pieces and seat belts. Carpet was cleaned and tightened. Dash has a couple of cracks by the speaker area
I have also just tuned the engine up with the standard cap, rotor, plugs ect. as well as changing out the fluids.
I just had the brakes redone as well as the exhaust. This car has had a good once over and drives out nice.
It is a sbc with a powerglide trans. It also has factory A/C but the belt is off so it's condition is unknown, however it's all there!
Nice American Racing rims with good tires on them. I believe the car has Positive traction and 373 gears...it takes off quick and the rpms are at about 3000 at highway speeds.
Head lights, Brake lights, turn signals, wipers, horn, speedo and heater work as they should.
The paint is driver quality, it has it's flaws but shows well at any Rod Run. The trim is all there and in decent shape. This is a very collectable cruiser that will only appreciate in value as the economy recovers.
I bought this car from an elderly gentleman and as you can tell it has not been heavily molested like most others I have seen...It's basically stock in appearance and has been well mantained. It is a True SS depicded by the 414 starting VIN code.
Vehicle sold "AS IS ", " WHERE IS " but I will assist in the transportation you arrange. No Returns or Refunds...Your bid is a contract obligation to purchase..not to come take a look at..Do that first!
Please ask questions...I have no secrets..
The OPENING BID is the RESERVE.........Good Luck and Thank You for looking.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car
Wed, 20 Feb 2013We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
2014 Chevrolet Impala [w/video]
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Can A Fleet Queen Become a Fullsize King?
On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima. We headed to sunny San Diego to see if this totally new Impala can stand on its own without the assistance of fleet companies and rental agencies. [w/video
2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
