1961 Chevrolet Impala bubble top coupe.
This car has been in family over 20 yrs. It has been gone through bumper to bumper and restored to original
condition, all parts replaced with NOS parts and have ALL receipts. It has right at 3500 miles put on it since restoration.
The only modifications made was the motor, transmission, HEI ignition and aluminum 4 core radiator. This car came as a 6 cylinder with 3 speed on the column.
We installed a fresh rebuilt 320hp 348 with carter 4-barrel and 3 speed automatic transmission. The 6 volt system was converted to 12 volts and a HEI ignition installed. The radiator was put in for precaution due to long idling times at car shows and parades. New coil springs were installed and upgraded to the heavier springs that came on the big block Impala's
Every bushing, bearing, line, hose, clips, seal and fitting has been replaced on this car.
All badges and emblems are 348 correct, interior is excellent with new headliner, carpet, door panels, kick panels and reupholstered seat.
Paint is PPG single stage and has always been garage kept. This car was mostly driven to car shows, parades and Sunday drives until recently when I took it on a 1200 mile trip to Florida and back.
The reason for selling is simply there is nothing left to do to it, I love this car stock and doing or adding anything more to this car would be ruining it in my opinion. Time for new project! Georgia does not title cars of this age so there is no title, it will be sold with bill of sale, VIN verification and registration.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
