Dent on right front fender and inter tail gate is rough .and has small misc body dings here and there and paint chipped... my opinion is the car could use paint job ..Other then that if you do not mind looks just drive the car it runs real strong no smoke on start up no lifter noise or rod bearing noise hold oil pressuse real well from cold to full warm up about 30 p s i .I was told by original first buyer of car that engine was rebuilt but i have no proof of it as far as any reciepts .. Seems how i have bin Machanic for 45 years i believe the car will be trouble free to drive for long time .Cars drives down road real nice no left or right hand pulls when using brakes .Go's straight on road with no hands on steering ...This elcamino has lot going for it seems how its first year of down sized elcamino's and start of 5 Th Gen and there are less then 1700 ever built .... very good investment that keeps going up in value.. Car comes with org Tonneau cover ..New Elcamino SS dash badge and Hurst shifter badges .New clips for head liner trim. Build sheet from factory..Clean title... and Keys .... GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism

Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.

Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
