You are viewing my 2002 Corvette Z06 in the beautiful Quicksilver exterior with black interior. Very well maintained and taken care of. It needs nothing and is ready to be driven anywhere.  The car will come with brand new Bridgstone Pontenza tires that have not even been mounted yet.  I purchased the car from a Chevrolet dealership and the previous owner had all of the maintenance done on the car at the same dealership.  I purchased the car 100% bone stock. Fully optioned with functioning Heads Up Display and Memory Power.  Below is a list of things that I have changed since owning the car.

Improvements:
-OEM C6 shifter and shift knob
-Steel braided brake lines (not a fan of rubber brake lines)
-Upgraded Valve Springs (factory LS6 valve springs have been known to fail with normal driving.  I didn't want to take any chances)

-Includes Z06 Embroidered cabin divider

Maintenance:
-MSD Plug Wires
-NGK TR55 spark plugs
-Brake Fluid Flush
-Gates serpentine belts
-Coolant flush
-Transmission fluid changed
-AC Delco fuel filter

Currently have 93,000 miles with no accidents and a clear title. Looking at and driving the car you would truly think it had less than half the mileage.  The front bumper has some minor rock chips from being on the highway, and the hood has two small rock chips as well.  Everything works perfectly. Transmission shifts very smooth and the clutch has a lot of grab. Interior is immaculate.

May consider trades.

I have no problem shipping the car. I have more pictures if there is something in particular you would like to see. Please ask if you have any questions.  Emails are responded to promptly.  If you would like to call me please just message me and I will send you my phone number.

*Please only click "Buy It Now" if you are a serious buyer. eBay will charge me a successful listing fee regardless if the buyer wants the car or not. Please ask me if you have any questions.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.
