For Sale is a 1965 Chevy Corvair Corsa Convertible with @104K Miles on It. It is 140 HP model.

It has been garaged in Las Vegas and has been a reliable method of transport for over a decade.

The car has been in my family for over 2 decades and was originally purchased out of Texas.  My dad gave it to me when he retired.

I did the following to it (with the help of Marty Katz):

1) Installed Seat Belts.
2) Regular Maintenance
3) Put on a new roof last year.
4) Tires are fairly new with little mileage

The car has been taken care of by Marty Katz locally in Las Vegas.  If you don't know Marty and own a Corvair or an Austin, you should. He's great and loves these machines.

I have to sell the car due to a divorce.  This is a gorgeous car and is one of my favorites. I would like for it to go to a good home.

Here are the only issues:

1) Recently horn developed an intermittent short.  This is annoying but is an easy fix. You also get a lot more attention, which is a plus.
2) Battery died due to #1
3) Windshield Fluid Pump never worked. Ever. I put fluid in. I think I have an original fluid container somewhere in the trunk.
4) AM Radio has loud static at times. This might be normal. I'm at the age where I barely remember AM Radio. I really like listening to old country when I drive in Vegas. Old country listening is optional upon purchase.
5) The front seats were replaced when the car had an overhaul-probably about 30 years ago.  They are in great shape. The rear bench is original, I think. Rear Bench has seatbelts, too.  I wanted them installed for when I drove my nieces and nephews around.
6) Car has been in the garage for about half a year. We hosed the Vegas dust off of it. Which explains the water. Assume you need to put additive in the gas.  This is a good idea. Please only use High Octane gas in this car. IF you aren't going to drive it much keep the fuel low and put premium in as soon as you can.
7) The driver interior door cover is a bit warped. Not bad but I figured I would mention it. (I took a photo) There is a slight tear on the dash. If you look carefully you can find it.
8) The lighter is missing. It might be under the seat.
9) I would rate this about a 7.5- I drove it not showed it. With a bit of TLC you can easily get 9-10. It needs a car wash from the dust and the stuff from me cruising around. You might want to re-paint it in a few years and re-cover the rear seat later if you are a stickler, but this is a beautiful car that always turns heads.

Yep, I should have washed it well before the photos but I had limited time.

I am including an AM/FM Radio and an extra mirror.   If you are near Vegas and want to drive it I can go get a battery and we can go for a ride.

I noticed that some of the interior photos are washed out.  This is a BRIGHT red interior. The Vegas sun was very bright today.  Please ignore any spurious water droplets.

I can find no bubbling, which isn't surprising.  The paint is intact.  I've included a photo of one of the vents.  The trunk is completely dry and sealed. The car sounds awesome. And no, you don't get the cool centennial Vegas plates.

Please contact me if you have any additional questions. It's a great car, and I'm sad to see it go. Car does have a reserve and is subject to prior sale in the next week as it is advertised locally.

But I'll be happier when my wife goes. Do a good deed today; buy my car. Or as Henny Youngman said, "Take my wife, please!" If you intend to take her, please tell me.  I can keep the car if that happens.

Would prefer wire transfer payment, if possible. Cash is good, too. Money order is OK, but I would prefer a local bank branch to OK it. Transport is the responsibility of purchaser.
It is being stored at my old house, so the faster it gets out of there, the better.

Thank you for your time.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate vs. 2022 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn vs. Ford F-150 Limited | Luxury truck interior face-off

Fri, Oct 22 2021

GMC's new uber-expensive 2022 Sierra Denali Ultimate is the latest luxury truck to nudge toward six-figure territory. With demand for upmarket half-tons surging, GMC's otherwise-solid pickup found itself in desperate need of an interior remodel. For 2022, we're getting just that, and it appears ready to take the fight to the segment's best, including the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited and 2022 Ford F-150 Limited. Here's the new Denali Ultimate interior in all of its full-grain, open-pore glory. 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate vs. 2021 GMC Denali  Not only did the material quality and styling both improve greatly, but the new truck also gets a completely different shifter setup (truck buyers don't like column shifters anymore, apparently). It would actually be difficult to overstate the quality of the upgrade here; the photos really speak for themselves. It's also worth noting that in addition to looking significantly more upscale than the model it's succeeding, the new Denali interior also differs a bit more from its Chevy counterpart than its predecessor did. Here's the new Silverado High Country for reference: While some elements do carry over, the entire dash design is different, down to the positioning of the heating and cooling vents. While the main HVAC controls are essentially carried over, note that they're pretty much the only ones. Even the horizontal bar of switches running along the center stack is positioned differently between the two. Yep. This is a pretty big upgrade over the 2021 cabin, and clearly the range-topper in GM's truck hierarchy. But what of the competition? 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate vs. 2022 Ram Limited Longhorn Southfork This one's tough. We're going to have to spend time in them back to back, but the Ram Limited, with its various anniversary editions and other special permutations, is certainly the interior to beat. To our eyes, the Sierra's more horizontal layout is a bit more modern and perhaps luxurious-looking than the more upright cabin treatment of the Ram, but it's tough to say for certain from photos. Both the Denali Ultimate and Ram Limited carry their upscale feel into their back benches too, which is something we can't say quite as confidently about our next contestant.  2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Limited The Ford F-150 Limited holds its own, but it's probably the least photogenic of the models we've looked at here, at least apart from the outgoing Denali.
