1976 C10 C-10 Cheyenne Super 10 Big Block # Matching 454 Very Clean Swb Restored on 2040-cars
Little Rock, Arkansas, United States
You are bidding on a Stunning Frame Off Restored Numbers Matching 454ci 1976 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super 10 show truck. This truck comes with the original Bill of Sale (installment contract), Registration, Build card, Owners Manual, MIC (Mechanical Insurance Coverage) all from the 03/24/1976 purchase date. This rig gets down the road with the original 454 Big Block engine and Turbo 350 transmission. The engine has had Polished Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 750 carb, small Competition cam and Hedman Headers rolling through 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust. Big 3 core radiator with temperature gauge cap guarantee the rig runs cool around 170-180 even in the heat of the summer. Original equipment Power steering and Power Disc brakes up front with drums on the back. The paint is in immaculate condition and there aren't any scratches or dents in the entire truck. I give it a solid 9.8 out of 10. The undercarriage is as clean as the body. Aftermarket steel grill and cowl added to the original hood. Interior is in great shape with no rips or tears. B&M Ratchet Shifter in the floor. The original 8 track is still in the dash but no dice on getting any tunes out of it. Sliding back glass. Windshield is factory with antenna. This is a rare model with the Tachometer built in the dash from the factory also. Factory 12 bolt rear end with 3:73 gears. Weld Pro Star Wheels wrapped in new tires. The rear tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman drag radials. The miles read 48k+ and I was told they were true but I have no documentation for proof. This truck is clean, RARE and show quality so bid with confidence on this one because you wont find another one as nice as this for your collection. Please look at the pictures for an idea of how clean this rig is. I encourage potential buyers to have an independent inspection done if you're unable to come view the truck in person. Feel free to call 501-831-2762 or email with any questions. Please do NOT bid if you have no intentions of purchasing the truck. No bidders with zero or negative feedback. Immediate deposit of $500 due at end of auction. Thanks for looking!

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.
