Introduction
Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC.  You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally.  I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience.  I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson.  I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event.  They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012.  I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well.  I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites.  I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish.  I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money.  I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it!

Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA.  MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays.  We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing.  Our facility is very neat and organized.  When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity.  We except all trades.  If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up.  Please also like us on Facebook for updates.  The power of networking is amazing!

Market
I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase.

Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character.

“I’m putting my money where my mouth is”

I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz.  I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time.  Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public.  Overall things were going just fine.  However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership.  I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership.  I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead.  Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong?  I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks.

Description

1972 Chevrolet C-10 Super Cheyenne Custom Pickup

AKA: SLEEPING BEAUTY

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL BLACK 1972 CHEVROLET C-10 SUPER CHEYENNE PICKUP WITH THE MATCHING NUMBERS 402 ENGINE AND AIR CONDITIONING.  THE BUILD DESIGN WAS PLANNED BY PCH RODS AND THE OWNER WHO WERE BOTH RACE CAR DRIVERS.  THE PLAN WAS TO KEEP ITS ORIGNALITY WITH MODERN UPGRADES TO THE WHEELS, SUSPENSION AND BRAKES SO IT WOULD COMPETE WITH NEWER VEHCILES ON THE ROAD!

Hotchkis Sport Suspension Company built and tested.  This truck stopped from 60-0 in 117 feet which was six feet quicker than a 2004 Ford Lighting and eight feet quicker than a 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10!

Featured in multiple issues of Classic Truck Trends magazine!

True Autocross and Pro Touring Truck with track time to prove it!

This truck was a very extensive restoration that was completed in 2011.  This truck would cost over $100,000 to build if you had to duplicate it!

ONLY 250 MILES ON THE COMPLETE RESTORATION!

The body is extremely straight with excellent gaps.  The black paint is truly stunning and is show quality.  Let me be clear, this is a high level restoration and one of the best C-10’s I’ve ever seen!

Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced including such items as all the glass (one piece rear tinted glass is installed and the sliding rear glass is included), all the window trim, mirrors, side moldings, lights, emblems and wood trim.  The front and rear bumpers and front grille were powder coated gloss black and look SWEET!

The truck sits perfectly on high end custom built Niche black 19” wheels that are 19x10 on the front and 19x20 on the rear.  These wheels were powder coated with gloss black hoops and flat black insets and then custom Niche caps were made for each wheel.  It has four brand new Nitto Invo tires that are 285/35/19 on the front and 325/30/19 on the rear!

The black exterior is complemented with a brand new black interior with red hounds- tooth and wood trim. This interior is very cool because it retains most of its originality with a hint of customization!

Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced including such items as the headliner, dash, factory gauges, door panels, seat foam and upholstery, tilt steering column, temperature controls and GM radio.  I added Billet Specialties Formula 14” black steering wheel that was almost $700 with all the pieces and column adapter!

It has factory air conditioning that is in great working order.  Everything under the hood including the compressor and hoses are brand new not rebuilt!

The entire truck wiring has been replaced with a new stock wiring kit from front to back!

The truck bed is a brand new bed with the original tail gate.  The newly finished wood floor with stainless stripes looks beautiful!

The original gas filler area was filled in for a smooth look and the gas tank was removed from the rear seat and placed underneath the bed.  A custom filler was added to the bed. A completely polished stainless steel fuel cell was installed under the bed with all new gas lines!

The engine compartment is highly detailed and home to the original matching numbers 402 V8!

The engine was professionally rebuilt and runs absolutely amazing.  It starts instantly and purrs like a kitten.  The engine compartment has recently been updated with show panels, air cleaner, polished valve covers, power coated hood hinges, Wilwood master cylinder and many bolts were changed to polished button heads!

The engine breathes through a complete custom exhaust system.  Magna Flow exhaust built a complete stainless steel exhaust system from exhaust manifolds to exhaust tips.  It includes mandrel bends and custom made x-pipe system and cross member that allows the exhaust to go through the frame versus under the frame for a clean and safe clearance system!

The engine is coupled with a completely rebuilt turbo 400 transmission and 12- bolt rear end!

The entire suspension system on this truck was done by Hotchkis themselves.  The build was documented in multiple magazines.  It’s equipped with Hotchkis Sports Suspension front and back with a full TVS kit.  The truck has 2” CPP drop spindles on the front with Hotchkis coil springs front and back.  It was lowered 6”in the front and rear. QA1 polished adjustable shocks were remounted on all 4 corners. This truck was tested on a track by Hotchkis and handled amazing!

The braking system was also professionally installed and includes Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners.  It has 14” rotors on the front with 6 piston calipers and 12” rotors on the back with 4 piston calipers.  It also has all new brakes lines and the proportioning valve was installed on the right side in the frame near the rear wheel!

BREAKDOWN OF THE GLOVE BOX TAG STICKER OF ORIGINAL OPTIONS:

“As my website indicates I’ve collected and sold many beautiful classic pickups privately and at Barrett Jackson.  A few of them have sold in the $70 and $80 thousand price range.  I’ve also witnessed many that have also sold in that price range or more.  With that being said, this 1972 Chevrolet C-10 Super Cheyenne is one of the best I’ve seen.  It’s unique for multiple reasons.  The truck was born a real black Super Cheyenne and it retains the original 402 V8 engine.  It was completely restored with no expense spared.  The entire suspension and braking system was built and tested by Hotchkis which was documented in multiple magazines.  To put the icing on the cake, the truck just works with its striking good looks.  This truck is the perfect combination of old and new.  It looks, runs and drives AMAZING!  I would challenge anyone to find a comparable truck for less.  My plans are to consign it to the upcoming Barrett Jackson auto auction being held in Las Vegas at the end of September. All consignments are placed in mid-August so if you’re interested please call.  Get it before someone else does!”

Marc Schiliro - The Owner

Inspection Report
"Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers and private parties aren't exactly what's being advertised for sale.  This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different.  The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages.  Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration.  An example would be a classic vehicle that's  being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc.  Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored.  There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components.  The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale.  At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell.  I'm not a consignment dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck on a vehicle that they don't even own.  We’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale.  They never even touched the vehicle.  Even with 15+ years’ experience and having collected and sold over 250 classic vehicles I’ve experienced that ALL the classic vehicles need some attention. Obviously some need more than others but the bottom line is they all need something.  I do the best of our ability to purchase quality classic vehicles, prepare them and advertise them honestly.  To be clear were not in the restoration business.  I collect and sell classic vehicles that have already been restored and do our best to bring them to another level with service and detail work.  Unlike many dealers when you call or email to inquire about a classic vehicle you speak directly to me.  I purchases all the classic vehicles for MS CLASSIC CARS, follow the service and detail process, write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answers all the calls and emails.  I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I knows about it.  I'll also give you my personal opinion about the classic vehicle of your choice and decide if it’s truly the right fit for you.

If you've read the introduction tab or visited myr website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world.  These are older vehicles and aren’t new but were doing our best to make them function, look great and honestly describe them.  I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value.

Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I'lll make it a very easy process from start to finish.  Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air.  A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package.  I'll also assist in enclosed door to door transportation.  I look forward to working with you.  Thank you for the opportunity! "

Classic cars and trucks make great investments and are extremely fun to own.  It’s so exciting to search for a classic, purchase one and watch it come off the trailer, add your own touches, take it for a ride or just look at it sitting in the garage after a hard day at work.  Classic car and truck collectors aren’t just in the United States but worldwide.  The classic car and truck market is growing every day.  It’s seen at car shows and auctions, in magazines and on TV shows.  Get your new classic car or truck today.  You only live once, if you can afford it, do it!

I do the best I can to represent my classic cars and trucks.  My results, feedback and reputation speak for themselves. Everyone’s opinion of a classic car and truck is different and I encourage questions prior to a purchase. I have a beautiful showroom with excellent lighting and a lift for a complete inspection if requested. Inspections will be scheduled by appointment only.  The closest airport is Providence, RI.  It’s only a 25 minute ride from the dealership.  I can arrange to pick up at the airport.  I also have a dealer plate that would allow for a test drive with a valid driver’s license for a serious buyer.  Please call 508-557-0152 or email for any questions.  Thank you.

                                                                                                                              Sincerely,

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."

Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.

Chevy Corvette Stingray "colorizer" lets you chase the rainbow

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

After you've convinced your better half to let you buy a new Corvette, then comes the hard part... actually figuring out which 'Vette you want. While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with.
The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold. If you have some time this afternoon, be sure to check it out the Corvette colorizer for yourself, and even if you don't have the time, we've put together a gallery with all of the possible color combinations.
