This is a 1973 Chevy Camaro, and was used as 1 of the 2 feature cars in the 21 Jump Street movie with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. It was made to look like a Z28 for the movie, and is still in near-showroom condition, especially seeing as how it's a 40 year old car and has been in a major motion picture. From what I can tell, it still is mostly original - except for the things I know are NOT original which are: wheels, tires, shifter, stereo, and a few chrome pieces in the engine. The custom wheels and tires make this thing fierce! And the custom vanity plate will let everyone know you're driving the official Camaro from the movie. Get used to "thumbs up" and compliments from strangers.

The even better news is the car should be appearing in a brand new TV series that will be airing starting March 5th on CNBC called The Car Chasers. Ebay won't let me list the link, so just go to CNBC's website, go to "CNBC TV" --> "CNBC U.S." and you'll see "The Car Chasers" link.

For some additional pictures (again, Ebay won't let me link), you can do a search for "American Classic Cars Oklahoma Inc.", then click on "movie & tv cars", then click on the Camaro link on the left-hand side. This is the company that I bought it from and they still have some pictures up.

My wife and I found out a month ago that we're expecting twins. So, it's as good a time as ever to help fund the cause and find a suitable car lover and collector of a pop culture icon. It's a perfect opportunity to use as an investment opportunity as I did (and has already benefitted me), or just an awesome car that still looks and runs stunningly. I'll even include the movie posters that go with it.

Make your offer today before someone else ends up driving this around your town instead of you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
