1987 Chevrolet Short Bed 4x4-north Carolina Truck-original Condition on 2040-cars
Boonville, North Carolina, United States
This is a 1987 Chevrolet 4 wheel drive short bed truck that is a one family owned truck. This truck was purchased new by the recent owners Dad and in 2011 the son purchased it from his Dad. The truck needs to be painted, and the interior done. There is some rust in the inner fenders but the undercarriage is in good condition. There is a small amount of rust in the lower right side of the bed and cab corner. It can easily be repaired. On the drivers bed side behind the rear wheel is a small spot of rust. It too can be repaired. This truck has had one repaint and with the original red color. When it was new it had a white top and bottom below the body moldings. The bed is in great condition. The 350 fuel injected engine runs strong and the transmission works perfect. The truck has dual tanks, however the right tank has a small leak that needs to be repaired. The switcher for the tanks works good. The wheels are 16 inch aluminum wheels with good tires. The truck originally came with 15 inch rally’s and they were changed several years ago. All the glasses are good and the windows work as well. The door locks will not work and appears to be the door lock switch. These 87 trucks are getting hard to find and I am offering this truck in its original condition for someone who would like to build their own truck. I have this vehicle for sale locally and do reserve the right to end the sale early Please contact David at 336-244-6555 with any questions you have. On Jun-03-14 at 16:34:49 PDT, seller added the following information: This truck has 146,156 miles on it. I entered the wrong miles when listing. Thank you. |

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
