For last 15 years, Pam and Greg have never failed to deliver their expert knowledge (in cars, and much else, too) quick repairs, fair prices, and - as important, their humor. 1000% trustworthy! Even their competitors have told me how reliable and reasonable they are. And, to boot, they always offer help with a pick up or delivery, if you`re in a bind. As busy as they are, they have always found time to quickly re... view moresolve my car problems. Over the last 15 years, I not only have 2 great mechanics, I have two friends!

Great service, friendly people
I`ve been looking for a good garage in Raleigh that wasn`t going to rip me off for working on my 66` Beetle. I called around and some places didn`t even return my call. Greg answered the phone and was simply said bring it in. He put it up, gave it an inspection and called me the very same night. He didn`t try to BS me with any ""oh, well, you need this and that"". He asked me what I wanted done and did just that. He ... view morementioned some other things that could be useful, but right at this moment. This was a Thursday and by Monday (giving him only Friday to do the work), I was driving my baby down throught the street of Raleigh. Oh, and Pam....awesome! The shop is located between Hillsborough and Western on Boylan. If you have a VW, take it to Pam and Greg...Village Motorwerks!

Best People and Best Service
Pam and Greg are the best! I have owned two cars and taken them both to Village Motor Werks. They always point me in the right direction and take good care of me!

They are the most honest people and have always successfully fixed whatever has been going on with my cars. I totally trust them which is so great!

Best garage in Raleigh!

Incredibly honest, best Volkswagen knowledge around!
This tiny shop behind a gas station in Cameron Village is home to some real characters who know their clients` cars very, very, very well. Not many people know how to service my 1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback. It is a rare car with few running examples still around and I was very surprised to find that Pam and Greg are so familiar with the car. I actually met them trying to find someone to service my husband`s ... view more2003 Mini Cooper S and while they couldn`t fix it, they sent me to someone who could (another fabulous german mechanic btw!!) The service I`ve had done has always been done well, in a timely manner, and at or below their original estimate. I cannot say enough good things about these folks and their business.

Trustworthy, friendly, extremely knowledgeable service for VWs - old and new
This little shop is well hidden, so don`t be surprised if you drive right by it your first time. But, I guarantee, you`ll find it the next time, because you`ll love the service you get and really appreciate the people. Pam and Greg have the brains and muscle to take on absolutely any service need, no matter how complicated. Plus, they`ll actually explain what the service entails and make it clear why the service need... view mores to be done a certain way. How refreshing is that? I had a timing belt replaced on my 1999 New Jetta (2.0 gas) at 96,000 miles. They joked with me, ""you should call VW and tell them, because that belt should have been shredded by now. They aren`t made to last that long! You must have gotten a good one!"" The whole service was done within the timeframe they said it would, and the cost was just slightly higher than the estimate. But, it was still about 2/3 of the cost for the same service and parts at a dealer. BTW: If your between 75,000 - 85,000 miles and haven`t replaced your timing belt on your VW, better think about it, soon. If it breaks, you`ll be replacing the cylinder head for a whole lot more money (because of low tolerances in the VW head design). Go see Pam and Greg. They`ll treat you right. Oh, yeah, did I mention that they work on Porsches, too?
