I am selling this vehicle for a friend of mine.  He has decided to go into retirement and move to North Carolina.   His phone number as well as mine will be added to the listing.   I know the general condition of the vehicle and have driven it but for the best answers to questions he's the man.

This is a 1958 Chevrolet Delray.  It is not an Impala/Belair/Biscayne.  It was the lowest you could go for 1958.  It does not have AC/PW/DL......  If you need that get a Focus.  The only luxury it does have is an Automatic Transmission (TH400R)  This is an old school custom rod.  This vehicle undergone a full resto in 1999 but it still looks great.  The pictures alone will do the talking.  The body was painted a deep black cherry, there are no waves in the sheet metal, no small dings, and the chrome is like new, no pits, no rust.  This car looks beautiful and feels good to the eyes just to look at it.  The dash and interior have been restored as well.  The seats are a red leather and the dash is red and black.  All aftermarket gauges work and the gas gauge and speedometer in the dash work well.  The tires are excellent and the rims are Chrome American Racing with dog dish hubs.  The engine is a 350 crate with a blower and pushes out 290 hp.  The frame looks like day 1.  This vehicle has been garage kept and driven very little since the resto; it  has never seen rain or snow. It has won several awards in the Goshen, NY area.  It has been in the garage since fall.   It is  show quality but with a good detailing there would be no doubt about it.   Bid as high as you can.

This is one unique and fantastic vehicle.  We have documentation and welcome your questions and inspections.   Please come and see this beautiful car.   Bid as high as you can.  2nd chance offers may be considered.  Ask for  Ronnie he is the owner 845-258-0606 or Erv at 732-539-1383.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
