HI GUYS - KELLIE JO HERE!

I HAVE OFFERED HUNDREDS OF NICE CLASSICS OVER THE YEARS,
AND LET ME TELL YOU... THIS IS THE ONE YOU WILL WANT TO
"TAKE HOME TO MOMMA"

THIS CAR TRULY IS THE ICON OF ALL ICONS.

THIS IS, AS ANY OF US IMAGINE A 1957 CHEVY.....BEAUTIFUL. THIS CAR IS NEAR FLAWLESS AND READY TO SHOW OFF. THE CORRECT RED AND SILVER INTERIOR AND UPHOLSTERY ARE WONDERFULLY RESTORED. THE MATADOR RED PAINT IS STUNNING AND ATTRACTS ATTENTION EVERYWHERE SHE GOES. THE QUALITY OF THIS CAR IS IMPECCABLE.
SHE HAS BEEN DRIVEN SINCE THE RESTORATION AND MAY HAVE MINOR MARKS ON THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE BUT NOTHING MAJOR. (I SPOTTED A FEW SPOTS THAT HAD MINOR PAINT CHIPS OR MINIMAL FLAWS AND MINIMAL MARKS ON THE INSIDE). WITH ANY USED VEHICLE THERE IS SOME DEGREE OF WEAR. THIS CAR IS NO EXCEPTION AND DOES HAVE SOME WEAR, BUT I CANNOT FIND ANYTHING MAJOR. THERE IS NO A/C BUT THE HEAT DOES WORK. THE ODOMETER SHOWS 50,307 MILES BUT THE TITLE DOES SAY NON-ACTUAL. THIS CAR IS NEAR SHOW CAR QUALITY. IT HAD A FULL RESTORATION BEFORE THE OWNER BOUGHT IT IN 1997. TO BE CATEGORIZED AS ORIGINAL THE OWNER EVEN HAD TO CHANGE SOME BOLTS FOR A CAR JUDGING SHOW. THE OWNERS STATED THAT WHEN THE CAR SITS IT DOES HAVE A TINY LEAK OF FLUID. SAID IT MAY BE COMMON FOR AUTOMATICS. IF YOU LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE I INCLUDED A PICTURE OF THE "CLASSIC CHEVY WORLD" MAGAZINE IN WHICH THE OWNER WON 1ST PLACE FOR THIS CAR. --PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME PICTURES WERE TAKEN OUTSIDE IN WARMER WEATHER AND SOME WERE TAKEN INSIDE THE GARAGE SINCE IT WAS COLD--

DO NOT MISS THIS CHANCE TO OWN A GORGEOUS CAR AT A FRACTION OF WHAT IT WOULD COST YOU TO RESTORE THIS GEM YOURSELF!

 SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN KEPT
IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT
AND PAMPERED! THIS CAR IS KEPT IN A "BUBBLE" WITH AIR FLOWING AROUND NON-STOP TO PREVENT ANYTHING FROM GETTING CLOSE TO THIS VEHICLE.

CARS LIKE THIS DON'T GO UN-NOTICED...SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY FOR THE ATTENTION!!!

**Please note that no car is perfect. It has been driven. It may have minor wear and minor marks from being on the road. I would suggest coming to see it in person before bidding so you know the degree of wear of the vehicle. I listed this vehicle to the best of my ability. However, I am only human and could have missed a flaw. So please if you have any concerns contact me first. Thank you!!**

IF YOU NEED MORE PICTURES OF UNDERNEATH THE CAR OR ANY OTHER PICTURES, PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND I CAN SEND THEM TO YOU.

ALSO CHECK BACK.... I LIST CLASSIC CARS WEEKLY!!!

THANKS AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!

BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR VEHICLE PICK-UP OR SHIPPING. A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT THROUGH PAYPAL IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION ENDING AND FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS. PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY. YOU CAN INSPECT THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO BIDDING UNTIL THE AUCTION HAS ENDED. PLEASE CONTACT ME AND WE CAN ARRANGE A TIME. I HAVE LISTED THIS VEHICLE TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY, BUT BEING A USED CLASSIC CAR IT IS NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION.

All used vehicles should be assumed to have some degree of wear. No vehicle is perfect in any way. Each vehicle has its strengths, styles, tendencies and shortcomings. Therefore, despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle's mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or previous owner’s diligence in care. It is for this reason that all vehicles are sold "AS IS". We have described the above mentioned vehicle to the best of our ability. However, with all pre-owned automobiles, the condition is subjective. Please be advised that no oral or written statements concerning any vehicle constitutes a representation or warranty of the condition of said vehicle.

NOTE: I'VE BEEN GETTING A LOT OF OFFERS TO END THE AUCTION EARLY SO THEY WOULDN'T "MISS OUT AT THE END". MANY PEOPLE WERE NOT AWARE THAT THIS IS A "DUTCH" AUCTION.

A DUTCH AUCTION ALLOWS YOU TO BID THE MAXIMUM THAT YOU ARE
WILLING TO PAY AND EBAY WILL DO THE REST!

YOUR BID WILL ONLY GO UP INCREMENTALLY TO AN AMOUNT
JUST ABOVE SOMEONE ELSE'S BID UNTIL THE AUCTION ENDS. YOUR BID WILL NOT INCREASE UNLESS IT HAS TO AND MANY PEOPLE GET THE ITEM FOR LESS THAN THEIR MAXIMUM BID. IF HOWEVER, YOU ARE "OUTBID", EBAY WILL NOTIFY YOU BY EMAIL. AT THAT POINT YOU CAN MAKE THE DECISION AS TO WHETHER YOU WANT TO INCREASE YOUR MAXIMUM BID.

Thanks!  -  Kellie Jo

Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
