1956 chevy two door hard top gasser from the sixties, car was originally this green and cream white but was changed to black and white , and when we purchased the car it had been in a barn since 1972 . the car was completely stripped to bare metal, what little rust in the front floor pan we did find was removed and replaced with a new pan from danchuck. the stainless trim is in excellent shape but currently not installed. there are no seats with the car or glass as all the stock glass had been removed and discarded. the front suspension is stock type with the old school ball joint spacers and truck coil springs for lift, the rear is also the way it was with truck rear spring packs and shackle with the stock 56 housing. It still has the clutch pedal with the drive shaft loop still in the car as it was back then as well as the battry box from back then. We also have a 1967 427 or a Pilcher 482 and 4 speed trans that are available for seperate price from this auction. this auction is for this rolling chassis only ( no motor or trans included ). I reserve the right to end this auction early and the car is for sale locally. This car will be sold with a Alabama Bill of sale only, Alabama does not have titles for any vehicles pre 1975. If you have any questions on this car please call Bill or Scott at 334 677 5210 or 334 405 0509 or 850 569 1225 Thanks and have a blessed day........ Also have a uninstalled roll cage for this car.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.
Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
