Selling my 1956 Chevrolet Belair 4 door. It is Torch red and India Ivory white. The car was built in mind to be driven any time anywhere. I didn't want to drive a new car as I love driving old cars. So I built something that looked cool that you can pile your friends in have power and go anywhere. This is the perfect car to go to the store, car show, drop the kids at school car. It has a bone stock appearance on the outside and you can barely hear it idle. When you punch the gas it goes! The car consists of the following
Drivetrain
1996 Lt1 small block Chevy with 5,000 miles on it
4l60e overdrive transmission
New driveshaft
New motor and transmission mounts
New EFI fuel tank
New fuel lines
New dual exhaust
Ceramic coated headers
Electric fan
Steering/Suspension
Front power disc brakes with new rotors/pads
factory rear drum with new wheel cylinders shoes
New shocks
Have new tubular control arms that go with car
Car has factory power assist steering
Body interior
Black and white interior stock style. The interior is not perfect but presentable. Excellent driver quality. Door Panels are a little warped. Carpet could be replaced as it is red
The floorpans are all original and completely solid there is ZERO rust in the floor pans. The body has no signs of rust. It is not an absolute laser straight body but very presentable. Paint is new and fresh.
Has mostly new weatherstripping
New front windshield
New custom autosound radio with mp3 hookup new speaker
Some cons with the car. Speedometer still needs to be converted to work with fuel injection. (Wasn't the highest on my priority list). Could use new front and rear bumper. Body isn't showroom condition. Interior could use a little bit of work. Not bad though. This is a car that gets tons of attention you can drive all day and not worry. This is the car you take out when you have your 50k+ 2 door hardtop is sitting in the garage at home. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! Happy Bidding

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.
Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.
Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
