1978 Vw Volkswagen Vanagon Bus Type 2 Camper on 2040-cars
Walla Walla, Washington, United States
This VW is in EXCELLENT condition. Recently tuned up and new fuel pump. Newer paint and interior spruced up a bit. VERY clean. Does not have any of the sink/stove options. The camper does pop up perfectly and no tears or leaks. The tires are like new. Alpine stereo installed and working great with a few added speakers. The paint is nearly perfect with the exception of the front bumper has two small nicks-Ive included a picture of that. Runs AWESOME and ready for a new owner to love!
Ask as many questions as you would like and I will do my best to answer. My father bought and had this restored for my daughters 16th birthday and she has now lost interest. I took it to a technician and had him go through it to change the fuel pump and make sure everything else was in excellent shape. Buyer is responsible for setting up all shipping needed and the cost as well. $500 is expected within 24 hours of auctions end and remainder should be paid in full within 72 hours unless otherwise set up between buyer and seller. |

Volkswagen Multivan Alltrack Concept takes the luxury van life off road
Wed, 05 Mar 2014Volkswagen dug into its commercial vehicle fleet for its latest Geneva Motor Show concept, blending the versatile body of the T5 MultiVan with a luxuriously appointed interior, 4Motion all-wheel drive and a thrifty diesel powertrain.
That 177-horsepower diesel engine routes its power to the AWD system through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Based on that alone, we'd expect the Multivan Alltrack's behind-the-wheel experience to be somewhat familiar. That all-wheel-drive system and van body contribute to the 21-degree approach and 15-degree departure angles of this soft-roading MultiVan.
What wouldn't be familiar is its exquisite cabin. Volkswagen opted for a nautical theme for the concept's interior, featuring grey-blue leather seats from Poltrona Frau and a floor finished in real wood. The dark wood trim can also be found throughout the interior, running below the windows and on the dash.

VW Golf GTI wrung out by Chris Harris
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Enthusiasts like nothing more than to crucify modern interpretations of their favorite performance models for failing to live up to some imagined ethos. Even the Volkswagen GTI has suffered its fair share of slings and arrows for growing in size and curb weight. Chris Harris recently spent some time with the all-new MK VII GTI to find out if growing up means giving up on what makes the machine so special.
Judging by his comments, Harris certainly doesn't think so. Yes, the new GTI is considerably more comfortable than its predecessors, but that's hardly a bad thing. The multitude of driving modes actually seem to add depth to the car rather than simply try to force one tool to do many jobs, and Harris even finds the machine's electronic power steering tolerable. As a result, Harris goes so far as to call the Volkswagen GTI "one of the best cars to actually own." How's that for high praise? You can watch the video for yourself by scrolling below.
