1985 Volkswagen Vanagon L Standard Passenger Van 3-door 1.9l on 2040-cars
Medina, Ohio, United States
you are bidding on a 1985 vw vanagon its a nice van that I bought with the intentions of restoring and using it as a vacation vehicle but I have way too many vehicles to be able to upkeep them all so this one must go. its a 1.9l gas the motor was pulled and gone through it has new head gaskets and heads were sent out and cleaned new pushrods new oil pump new seals.. has a new water pump. new speedo cable. it does have a rebuild title from like 05 when it got popped in the back so there is alil damage on rear bumper and a dent in the back. doesn't come with the matteress that they came with. and the middle seat is gone so just front two and rear seat... if you have any questions feel free to ask also there is a crack in the windshield.... and also has some dents by driver door on the panel.... I know of some very reasonable shippers and can help arrange if need be... and one last thing this was a southern vehicle spent most of its life at the beach in south Carolina... the underbody is super solid and so is the body. a couple bubbles here and there maybe. and one last thing doesn't have power steering at the moment put the pump back on but didn't hook it back up belt is in the van..if its a a big deal to winning bidder I can put the belt back on it works just didn't bother me.... also no ac the pump is in the van if u want to put back on.... runs and drives very good .. |

Former Porsche boss Wiedeking won't face criminal charges over VW bid
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Hedge fund managers have been suing Porsche for years now, alleging that the car company lied about its intentions during its failed attempt to take over Volkswagen, a gambit that caused them billion in losses. Over the same period, authorities in Stuttgart built a criminal case against former CEO Wendelin Wiedeking (above, left) and Chief Financial Officer Holger Härter (right), filing charges in December 2012. When those fund plaintiffs lost their most recent court case, one of the dimming lights in the dark and receding tunnel was that the criminal investigation might unearth more evidence about Porsche's actions that could help the plaintiffs in pending litigation.
Bloomberg reports that another light has gone out, though, with a Stuttgart court dismissing the market manipulation case before going to trial because, as a court spokesperson said, "there wasn't enough evidence backing up the charges." When prosecutors get the files back from the court, they have a week to decide to refile, but unless they've been sandbagging evidence that could bolster the case, the only lights at the end of the tunnel will be those welcoming Wiedeking and Härter back to the world of legally unencumbered men.
VW looking to MAN up, ditch Mercedes van deal
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Unlike the US, the commercial truck market throughout the rest of the world is chocked full of competitors from many different automakers. Since 2006, Volkswagen has had a fullsize van called the Crafter that was a result of a partnership with Daimler AG and based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. This partnership is supposed to last through 2016, but Reuters is reporting that VW might be looking to end its relationship with Daimler and create its own van in cooperation with German truck and bus maker MAN.
The article says that VW AG has more than a 75-percent stake in MAN, which would essentially be keeping the new commercial vehicle in-house. Even if VW bolts, Daimler still has a deal worked out in the commercial truck industry between its subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso and Renault-Nissan to supply the other with different trucks.
2015 VW Golf R caught getting a flogging on 'Ring
Wed, 22 May 2013The upcoming version of the Volkswagen Golf R is nearly ready for prime time, if this video of the car flying around the Nürburgring is any indication. The all-wheel-drive R seems to make quick, neat work of the corners we see here, and sounds pretty devilish in the process.
Expectations are that the new Golf R will run a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (what else?), tuned to produce even more than the current car's 256 horsepower. (Some sources have indicated outputs as high as 286 horsepower, with 280 pound-feet of torque. It's still not clear if Volkswagen will bring the six-speed dual-clutch transmission to the US-spec Golf R in this next go-round or if we'll stick to having only... eh... the stick.
In either case - watching the video below will only whet your appetite for the new, highest performing member of the Golf family.
