1959 double-door Panel

This VW starts right up, runs and drives straight down the road.  Clean underbody, straight body, very little rust.  Good brakes, good tires, original seat needs redone, but only original once.  Needs interior panels kit which runs $250 for the door panels, kick panels, and headliner panel.  Very easy to install.  Drive it while you restore as these are easy VW's to restore when they're not totally rusted up.  Turn signals, brake lights, interior lights, parking lights, headlights, hi/low beam, license plate light, all working. Factory cab divider in great shape.  Only horn not working.  Crack in passenger side lower front window.  All doors open and close nice, including front and side double-doors, hatch and engine lid (has VW hex key).  This would be a very easy restoration project or perfect VW for your logo to advertise your business.

Questions, please ask!

Best offers are encouraged as my price is certainly not written in stone.

** This is a 55-year old VW Bus.  I want the winning bidder to be happy, but keep in mind you're bidding on a very old classic VW and there is no warranty implied or offered. My feedback is a TRUE 100%.  I've sold quite a few of my classic VW's, motorcycles and classic cars here on ebay over the years, and I'm honest to a fault, but cannot guarantee anything this old.  I do drive it all over town with zero issues, last time being 12/6/2013.  It is insured in my name, but the title was never put into my name.  Was going to restore but have since bought a VW camper that I just have to keep, or this 59' wouldn't be for sale!

Clear California title and registration.  VW is located in Sarasota Florida.

For classic, exotic, hot-rod, muscle and antique car financing,  I've heard J.J. Best Banc & Co. is excellent.   Contact Graham Berry at 1-508-991-8000 for info. on that.

Below is the NADA of this VW's value.  It's priced accordingly, and actually quite a bit above average in my opinion as it runs and drives very nice and has minimal rust.

CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over

Mon, 03 Sep 2012

After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.

World Car Of The Year down to its final four

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Judges for the World Car of the Year Award have narrowed down the finalists to just four vehicles. Out of a total of 42 entries, only the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Porsche Boxster/Cayman, Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT-86 and Volkswagen Golf remain standing. For Volkswagen, this marks the second consecutive year the company has had an entry among the finalists, and the fourth time since 2009. In order to qualify, a vehicle must be on sale on two continents during the span of time between January 1, 2013 and May 30, 2013. A panel of 66 journalists from 23 countries then vote on the finalists.
Three vehicles have made the cut for the last round of voting on the 2013 World Performance Car as well, with the Cayman/Boxster and FR-S/BRZ/GT-86 running against the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Meanwhile, the Renault Zoe, Tesla Model S and Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid are duking it out for the World Green Car Award. Finally, the World Car Design of the Year Award is up for grabs between the Aston Martin Vanquish, Jaguar F-Type, and the Mazda6. Check out the full press release below. Overall winners will be presented at the 2013 New York Auto Show.

Volkswagen Golf Variant will make a lovely Jetta SportWagen

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

In addition to several other versions of the Golf, Volkswagen is debuting the new Golf Variant (read: wagon) here at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. And if this bigger version of the Golf looks like it might fit right at home in the States, it's because we could possibly see some version of this car as the next-generation Jetta SportWagen here on our shores.
Volkswagen is debuting the Golf Variant with two efficient diesel engines, rated at 110 and 150 horsepower, the smaller of which is good for an impressive 71.3 miles per gallon on the European cycle (when mated to a six-speed manual transmission). The Golf Variant also gets a version of Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, making it incredibly all-weather capable.
It's a handsome estate, and it wears the new Golf's design language well. We can't say for sure if this car will actually make its way Stateside, but given the fact that the current Jetta SportWagen still rides on the old Golf platform, the odds look to be in our favor.
