1975 Triumph TR-6--I have had this car for about 4 years now-We got this car on a trade-I had the car stripped and painted-I have pics of the car during the process--It was a very straight car with no rust-it just needed paint-It was faded -I added brand new bumpers and most trim-The bumpers alone were $2000--I then added a Monza exhaust system and a header-and then put on a set of 17" Konig Wheels and new tires--The car has been basically sitting since I got it--I think I have put maybe 50 miles on it in 4 years--I got in the car last summer and the clutch was acting funny so I took it to a shop in Watkins Glen NY that specializes in Triumph's and he put a whole new clutch in--and while he was at it I had him add a brand new high torque starter- and he adjusted the carbs--All that was another $2000--Wheels were $1600 and the exhaust was $800-It is a true French Blue car-and had it painted the correct French blue--I do have the original wheels and tires and the original exhaust manifolds and the original bumpers as well--The car originally had the luggage rack on the back--I have that as well. The car has not been out this year and is buried in the garage at my shop under the cover--I believe the mileage to be 41k original-I have a ton of paperwork on the car and receipts from the previous owner showing the mileage going back--I have a folder about 2 inches thick on the car of the stuff he had done to it--Like the interior,carpet--and stuff like that-It also has an aftermarket cd player in it--The interior is pretty nice except the bottom of the dash below the glove box is cracked-You can see it in the pics-It has a soft top but has been up and snapped down since I have had it except to take the pics--so it may need to sit in the sun for a bit--The same goes for the full tonneu cover which I have-The car sounds awesome with the header and Monza exhaust system-We are a small dealer in NY-So any NY buyers will have to pay NYS sales tax-The car is being sold "As Is" it is a 1975 Triumph--That's what I know about the car-Like I said I have driven it maybe 50 miles in 4 years-and that mostly came when I took it to the different shops to have work done on it--Any questions feel free to ask-Im sure Im forgetting about some things-Im not a triumph guy but will do my best to answer any questions-I do have other pics of the car-Its a hard to find French blue-and in my opinion is the best color Triumph offered on the TR-I have well over 20K in the car- But its time to let it go to someone that will actually drive it and likes Triumphs-Im a dealer and took it on a trade and put too much money into it and time to just recoup some of the money and move on--Happy bidding-Reserve is under 10K-I pulled the car out tonight and noticed the heater core dripping on the floor so I bypassed the core-and it was fine after that-Not sure if it was a hose or the core so I bypassed it and it took care of it

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
