Up for auction is a 1972 Triumph TR-6 with it's original engine. Between the engine rebuild / other new engine bay parts, New duel side draft Webber carburetors ( not installed ),  new exhaust, 5 new tires, wheel restoration and refurbished interior the car has over $7000 spent on her in the past 18 months.  I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. I'm not a mechanic or a dealer just a guy selling a very nice TR-6. Please take time to read the auction in it's entirety as much work and dollars have been spent.

Heritage: This is a true numbers matching car as I know it to be after doing much research . The production date is Jan. 1972, commission number is CC 79009 U, engine number is CC 79112 UE,  body tag 71975 CC and body tag # is 14810 CF. To be 100% you would need to order your certificate from the Heritage Center at:  http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/

Mechanicals: The car has had much work done and dollars spent and she is ready for the open road. She runs and drives great. The engine was fully rebuilt about 1500 miles ago and at that time the clutch and rear exhaust where replaced as well. Many other items where done last year like a new battery, rebuilt carburators, new brake booster, new clutch master cylinder re-conditioned the radiator, new radiator air induct installed  and other small items. The car was just serviced this week ( points, plugs, oil change etc ) so she is good to hit the open road. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke. The car holds about +60 lbs. oil pressure at warm idle and the car has never over heated. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises. The rear end is strong and makes no noises. The car starts right up with no smoke or shaking about. The car gets down the road very well and has very nice acceleration. I would not hesitate to drive the car and distance at this time.

Extras: The car also some with a new set of side draft Webber DVG carburetors that cost $1200 new last year. Also, the car does come with its original air cleaner and new air filters.

Electrical's:  Many hours and dollars where spent on going through this area: headlights ( high & low beam / correct Lucas lights ) ) work , wipers work, horn works, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, interior courtesy light work , dash gauge lights work, glove box light works, trunk light works, hazard switch works and blower fan works.

Interior:   Is in exceptional condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition.

Exterior: The car looks nice in the photos but I would still say the paint is of driver quality ( not show ) and the car would benefit from a repaint ( some paint chips etc  / see photos ). There are a few paint bubbles on the passengers lower rocker panel and  dime size rust spot on the rocker panel ( again, this is a 42 year old car ). Again, a nice looking driver as seen in the photos. All glass is cloud and scratch free. The wheels where refurbished this year and look stunning and are wrapped in near new matching radial tires. The spare wheel is new and matches the ones on the car. The car sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of leaning or the dreaded "TR-6 Squatting" issues.

Soft Top: The soft top is black and is in very good condition. The soft top is correct for the car in that it does have the reflective strip on the soft top. I'll have photos of the car with the top up next week and will post them then.

Underbody: This area looks original and in very, very good condition given the cars age and I find no evidence of repairs or damage. Underbody and floor pan photos are available upon request.

Trunk: The truck is rock solid, newer trunk panel kit and carpet ( see photos ). The car does comes with a spare wheel / new tire, lug wrench and jack.

Extra Photos: I have many extra photos available showing more detail of the engine and the underbody. Please just email if you wish to see them.

Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try  Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes (  http://www.schumachercargo.com/  ).  Please have funds available at auctions end.

In Closing: The above description is my observations and opinions and they very from person to person so ask all questions prior to bidding. Again. not an expert just what I know and see so please ask any and all questions you might have.

I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or the extra photos I have available please ask prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. Due to the cars age and having no way to warranty the car I'm selling her as is and mileage exempt. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
