Hello and may I have your attention please:

This is THE FASTEST, BEST SOUNDING, STRAIGHTEST TRACKING, COOLEST RUNNING STOCK LOOKING Trans am that I've ever owned - and I've had a few! Looks totally stock inside and out till you raise the hood. All the upgrades are under the hood which by the way has the scoop attached to it because it is functional- the cold air goes right into the Edelbrock carb and high rise manifold. 325+ HP and 350 lb/ft torque. Original rebuilt engine with a better cam ( not too hot- the car idles very nicely ) and original rebuilt Turbo 400 3 spd transmission. Power steering and brakes, factory A/C delete, headers, old school Flowmasters, front end rebuilt with polyurethane bushings. rear air shocks, and as far as recent additions- new battery, spark plugs, wires, ignition module ( HEI ), original  brass radiator refurbished and running cool, 160 degree thermostat, new timing gears, chain and water pump. Also the original Rallye wheels and chrome trim.

The tires have a few hundred, not thousand miles on them- about 2 yrs old. The paint is in great shape- repainted about 8 yrs ago and always garage kept. There are the odd very small paint chips- very few to even photograph. Texas car at least for the last 20 yrs that I know.

The interior is in great condition with a few minor cosmetic flaws here and there- the carpets are also in great shape. This is a well looked after car- not a show car or trailer queen by any means though !

A couple of minor issues- no winshield washer reservoir, a few cracks in the console storage box lid ( between the seats ), a couple of small cracks on the dash above the instrument cluster and some discoloration on the rear deck where the rear speakers mount. Also under the rear bumper on the driver's side there is a panel with a sideways tear in it that can be easily fixed. Also on the same side a little exhaust tip rash on the lower panel.

As I mentioned this car is A BLAST to drive ! 80 MPH on the freeway and you hear the beautiful noise at 2500 RPM and the car is steady as a rock !! I don't want to sell it but it's time - the new owner can enjoy it every day if they want - it acts fine as a daily driver

How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]

Fri, 26 Aug 2011

You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.
