I have owned this car for about six years. When I got the car I had all the fluids changed, put new tires on the car and have had synthetic oil put in the car every year. I have driven the car only a few thousand miles over this time and it has always been in the garage with my other cars. The tires are still like new (BF Goodrich) and I have done a fuel induction service and just recently put new spark plugs in the car. All the work on the car has been done here at the GM dealership. This car is stock all the way to the muffler with the only exception possibly being a K&N air filter where I can see the sticker under the hood. Honestly never looked. I can if it is important to someone This car has always been a great car. It runs and drives perfect and everything on the car works fine. I replaced all the speakers in the car with factory Monsoon speakers because one was blown I think. I have pictured about a 1" crack in the door panel. The front bumper has small spiderweb or stress cracks. You can't see them with a camera. The interior of the car is very good and doesn't show much wear at all. This car is a really good example of a well preserved Anniversary model and you could show, drive or invest in this car easily. eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction
Mon, 01 Aug 2011For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new.
