WATCH THE VIDEO WALK-AROUND

Looks  & drives great, A Must See! Never seen snow, New tires, No accidents,  Non-smoker, Seats like new, Title in hand, Upgraded sound system, Very clean  interior, Well maintained

This car has  New front and rear  tires, 20" Nitto Invo on the Foose Legend Rims. New plugs, O2  sensors (all 4), belt and battery. I kept the old plugs with the car so you can  see it is running perfectly. New upgraded sway bar links and bushings. The paint  is perfect, just a few rock pits in the front bumper/skirt, shines like new.  Interior leather is also in like new condition. The  original owner upgraded the sound system will better speakers all around and it  would seem a subwoofer in the trunk. The subwoofer is gone, but all the wiring  is in place, high and low level signal wires, a subwoofer control wire, as well  as power wires for an amplifier. A new radio head unit  has been installed,  Pioneer Z3 CD DVD GPS 7" touchscreen with built in 40GB hard drive which holds  your favorite music ripped from each CD you play. Last thing is the headlights  are now HID as well as the Fog lights, really lights up the road.

If you do not know this car,  the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO, let me give you what history I know. Released first  in '04 as a joint effort between GM and Holden of Australia, a big name in road  racing of sport coupes there, it was to bring a muscle car to compete with the  Mustang. It was only made for these three years, but was planned to move onto  the G6 platform when the recession hit and Pontiac was gone. In '04 it was  fitted with the LS1 Corvette engine.

In 2005 the car was upgraded to the LS2 engine, more  displacement and more horsepower. Unfortunately the car was a bit over powered,  for the 2005-6 have a problem in the 'Launch' and the rear wheels will have a  tendency to jutter, jump, shudder however you want to describe it. SO, if you  are looking at other 2005-6 production years, look for some resolution having  been install, most owners did nothing it seems. There are a couple of routes to  attempt a fix, I have heard that heavier axles works, but the solution on this  car does work. The decreases spring throw, -1.5", and the +2 spring rating  increase combined with Koni Shocks not only makes a smooth wheel spinning  launch, makes the  car handle really flat. Of course the 10.5" wide rims  and tires help that out  also.

The other thing to look for in these cars is the  seat corners, both front and back, that face the exterior of the car. I do not  know what Holden used to stitch these seats together, but it does not do well  with UV light. In most examples of this car, these seams threads have broken open, but not on  this car, all the seats are perfect except the rub on the drivers waist bolster  from getting in and out of the car. Also the headliners sometimes come  unattached from heat, but again, not this car. From the CarFAX, It spent its  life in North Carolina, a single owner, and from the looks of it, in a garage.  The owner may have been in the Armed Services, for there are periods on the  CarFAX where the car had no miles put on it. One thing is for sure, it was  pampered.

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern

Mon, 07 Nov 2011

General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]

Fri, 26 Aug 2011

You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.
