I purchased this 1999 MIT 3000GT SL over a year ago from Little Rock, Arkansas with a clear tittle, and had it shipped to Durham NC. I may be the second or third owner. The vehicle has no accident history that I know off. However, it had a damaged front bumper which the dealer did not want to repair, so they sold it as it is through IAAI. I replaced it with a red bumper purchased from the dealership, it was repainted black. There are a few minor scratches that expose the red under color, and a small scratch over the trunk. The previous owner(s) must have taken good care of it, because it has no mechanical or electrical problems. As mentionted, the passenger window motor does not work, and the driver leather seat has cracks in it, and the passenger speaker does not sound. It is just under 90000 miles, and is well maintained. I drive it on the weekends so the miles will slowly increase. It is priced well below market value to accommodate the defects that I listed, and to sell fast. I am only selling because I need money for nursing school which starts in the first week of August.

2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb: Practice Day 3

Greg Tracy's MiEV Evolution III topped the time sheets almost 14 seconds ahead of third-place Monster Tajima.
On Thursday, qualifying times for six categories were set on the bottom-section switchbacks of Pikes Peak: Electric Modified - near-unlimited showcases of electric-vehicle engineering; Electric Production - electric vehicles "readily available to the public;" Open Wheel - single engine, open wheeled, open cockpit, single seat vehicles; Open - based upon a production or approved-aftermarket-replica vehicle; Exhibition - a prototype or pre-production vehicle limited to one year of eligibility in this class; and Vintage - vehicles and drivelines from 1990 or earlier.
Mitsubishi Outlander, Evo to keep things safe at Pikes Peak
Tue, 18 Jun 2013Mitsubishi has already announced that it will be returning as a competitor to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a pair of all-electric MiEV Evolution II racecars. In addition to these entrants, the automaker will also be the presenting sponsor of the race as well as providing the official safety vehicles to the event using specially prepped versions of the 2014 Outlander and Lancer Evolution.
While it isn't clear what exactly will be demanded of the safety vehicles, this isn't going to your run-of-the-mill pace car duty. To get the Outlander and Evo ready for the 156-turn, 12.42-mile course, Mitsubishi teamed up with companies such as BBS, Cobb Tuning, AEM and Muellerized Suspension Systems as well as DC Sports and Kenwood to create these one-off safety cars. These vehicles, and all the racecars, will be at Pikes Peak later this month for the 91st running of America's second-oldest racing event. Scroll down for the official press release.
Mitsubishi denies plans for Toyota/Subaru rival sports coupe
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Forgive us for being wistful, but there was a time when Mitsubishi coupes and sports cars were the downright awesome. The 1990s brought us the all-wheel drive, turbocharged Eclipse GSX and the twin-turbocharged 3000GT VR-4 (seen here). The times, they were good.
Fast-forward to today, and the Lancer Evolution exists as Mitsubishi's sole, true performance offering. Mitsubishi killed off the Eclipse last year, by which time it had lost much the luster of its predecessors. With an affordable Japanese sports car fomenting underway thanks to Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ, one may think that it's an ideal time for a brand like Mitsubishi to jump back into the performance coupe game. A rear-drive Mitsubishi sports car to take on the Toyobaru twins could be just what the brand needs to gain some mindshare among consumers.
Not so, says Osamu Masuko. The president and executive director of Mitsubishi told reporters at the Sydney Motor Show, "Our engineers are very prominent to investigate new technologies, but to use that technology they are not that good to bring the revenue to make that money."
