2006 Ford Freestar Cargo Van: 3.9 liter v6 engine/4-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive.  125,000 miles.  It's in overall good shape.  The motor runs strong.  The body is solid.  The transmission needs work.  It slips in 2nd gear.  It is driveable, but I would recommend shipping it.  It's difficult to get it over 40mph.  If you good at working on these vehicles, it could be an easy fix.  It is being sold at NO RESERVE.  If you have any questions, or would like to come take it for a test drive before you bid, you can reach me directly @: (330)509-2999.  You can click on the "Shipping and Payments" tab, you can enter your zip code and get instant quotes for shipping.  Also, I work closely with Beacon Shipping, and can get you a quote through them.  We require an immediate $500 non-refundable paypal deposit, and full payment within 7 days.  Also, there is a $99 documentation fee for every vehicle sold.  All vehicles are available for pickup or shipping once payment has cleared.  Ohio residents are subject to Ohio sales tax.  We accept paypal or cashier's check.  Happy Bidding!

Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70

Sun, 20 Jul 2014 17:01:00 EST

We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.

Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect

Wed, 18 Sep 2013 18:00:00 EST

The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)

Wed, 23 Jan 2013 18:39:00 EST

Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.
