1972 Chevy C10 Short Bed Step Side Pick up with Side wheel carrier

This is a very nice original 1972 Chevy Pickup unrestored but kept up with all the maintenance and made several improvements over the years. Improvements include power brakes, power steering, rebuilt transmission, new radiator, brakes, wheels are from a 1990's Chevy Van, rally wheel style. Bucket seats from a 67 - 72 Blazer with the original center console. The front brakes are disk which came standard in 1971 and 1972. The 1972 is the end of the line for this body style that ran from 1967 to 1972. This is a solid Colorado truck with little rust.

The original owner ordered three options; tinted windows, automatic transmission and the side wheel carrier. Folks seem to love the truck, I get a lot of looks where ever I go.

Recent work includes tune up, oil change, new carburetor and harmonic balancer. The steering column works just fine. New reproduction steering wheel installed. Identical to the original. This would be a great truck to keep as is or turn into a project. Runs great but has a rough idle. Overall the truck is in nice condition. I love this old truck, I hate to see it go.

Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title

General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.
