Buick Lesabre Base Coupe - 1968 , 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States
Restored custom 1968 Buick LeSabre 2 Door Coupe. Other than a brand new recent Upholstery, and Carpet, rebuilt transmission with one year warrantee. Wheels and tires in good reliable condition. One of the nicest cars I have seen of lately let alone had the pleasure to own. Recent "going over" of the brakes, fuel system, tune up,and miscellaneous odds & ends. Starts and runs excellent with all items working including a new aftermarket CD player/ Radio. Rolls down the highway smooth as can be, without effort. While the car isn't perfect as most 46 year old survivor cars aren't, it is highly above average, even nicer than some restored cars and beyond impressive given how well the finishes have remained over the years. Some light detailing, freshening and 2 or 3 small spot ins to the paint makes this car just stunning to see in person. Paint is approximatley 2 years. All 8 windows including the windshield are the original 1968. Plate glass never been out of the car...Turns more heads than one can imagine, it becomes the center of attention at any car show or cruise nite...I could go on and on about the condition of this car but the following photos do a much better job describing the car... Overseas & Outside of US bidders & buyers welcome provided buyer guidelines are followed including payment deadlines. |

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
Opel readying Adam model with SUV cues
Fri, 11 Oct 2013The Opel Adam, the microcar of General Motors' European subsidiary, has seen its sales cool significantly since it first hit the market in the United Kingdom and Europe, but a push is reportedly under way that just might be enough to get the stylish, little car moving again.
Using the Opel Adam Rocks Concept as a template, Opel will ruggedize the Adam, so that it might compete with the growing herd of city cars that sport SUV styling, like the Volkswagen Cross Up and Fiat Panda 4x4, according to a report from Automotive News Europe. Sporting a bumped-up ride height and tougher body work, it's a dedicated soft-roader, but will freshen the Adam's lineup and, hopefully, broaden its customer appeal.
The Adam Rocks, according to IHS Automotive analyst Ian Fletcher, should also make some more coin for GM's struggling European arm. "Automakers are happy to meet demand for SUV and crossovers as the customer pays a premium," Fletcher told ANE. And although the Rocks might have been planned from the start as a production vehicle, the timing, with the Adam's sales slowdown, doesn't seem like a coincidence.
J.D. Power: Mini, Lexus again offer most satisfying sales experience
Thu, 29 Nov 2012JD Power has released its annual Sales Satisfaction Index Study, and once again Mini and Lexus have taken top honors. Overall, buyers are more satisfied with the auto-buying sales experience than they were last year, with those surveyed reporting an average score of 664 points on a 1,000-point scale. That's up from 648 in 2011. Dealer satisfaction also increased by five points over last year as well.
All told, Lexus brought home an index score of 737, which was high enough to put it atop the luxury brands for the second year in a row. JD Power says Infiniti came in second in that category with a score of 728 and Cadillac rounded out the podium with it's rating of 725. Speaking of Infiniti, that brand saw the single largest jump in sales satisfaction of any brand on the survey, popping up 52 index points over 2011.
Among mass-market brands, Mini ranked highest with a score of 712, followed closely by Buick with 706 and GMC farther down the line with 683. You can check out the full press release below for more information.
